My husband and I came to this hotel on our honeymoon in November 2008. The hotel itself is clean. We found the night staff to be friendlier than the day staff. Beds are very, very small and uncomfortable. It’s actually quite funny, because the room itself is very small, but the bathroom is so large, it is about the size of the room itself. Also, another thing to note. The bathroom’s doors are glass and almost see-through. If you are going with someone that you would not be comfortable seeing you in the bathroom potentially, then don’t come to this hotel.
Unfortunately, we were given the room next to the elevator, even though we said we were on our honeymoon (which didn’t matter to them.) Trust me, you will HEAR the elevator, and even if they tell you that after 11PM no one can ride the elevator so there will not be noise, that is a lie.
The breakfast was top notch (of the four cities we saw in Italy – Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome), and on the top floor of the hotel with a lovely view of the city. It is about a 5 minute walk to the subway, and it is very easy to get around Milan, so don’t concern yourself if you are not staying directly near the Duomo. Make sure to see the original “The Last Supper”, but get reservations months in advance.
Overall, a decent hotel, but I probably would not stay there again given the opportunity.
