“Good Hotel Good Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 April 2010

Stayed here one night. Was stuck in Milan due to travel issues (volacano) so our planned hotel was book so we swtiched here for one night.

Pros
Great location, walking distance to a few resturants, easy to hop on the metro to get around Milan
Clean
Staff was OK, not rude but not incredibly helpful
Breakfast included. Similiar to other hotels, decent pastries.
Free wifi (need to get a log in at the check in desk every 24 hours)

Cons
Small rooms, small bathroom, small beds

Notes:
Closest metro stop in de angeli about two blocks away
Room keys are huge, leave it at the front desk before venturing out

“Paper walls! Hard beds!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2009

I had to stay here for 1 night in December whilst on a business trip. It's a 4 star hotel and looks 4star on the surface....but that's it!! Upon arrival, the sole receptionist was on the telephone and continued her conversation for a good 5 minutes whilst I stood there waiting. Then when she finally served me there was no apology for the wait, she was rude and abrupt and when I asked questions, acted as though I was the most annoying person in the world! Then, the room. It was ok - spacious enough, comfortable enough - except for the heating! It was so hot and no matter what I did, I couldn't turn the heating down. The bed was hard - personally, not to my taste. But the biggest thing for me was that the walls were absolutely paper thin. At 4.30am, I could hear the TV in the next room as clearly as if it were on in my room - and I was wearing ear plugs! Also, and this is just an annoyance -no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. I know lots of hotels don't do this, but it really makes a difference when they do. Especially when you are waking up at 5am, room service is not 24 hours and hasn't started yet but you need something to kickstart your day! I wouldn't stay here again.

“Lovely staff - not bad hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 December 2009

We arrived to this hotel very early in the morning, straight from the airport... the very lovely staff allowed us to check in early. The room was nice, but dated. We had problems with our bathroom, as it would leak when you had a shower, but the staff were very nice in mopping up the flood for us.
The location wasnt too bad, a few metro stops from the duomo... but was still a bit of hassle at nights.
all in all, would stay there if you get a good deal...

“Nice hotel, great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2009

Great service! The staff at the front desk were very accomodating. Local restaurants are pretty good. Very clean and renovated, the bathroom is nice with an awesome shower. Breakfast buffet is great and there is a great view from the top floor. Most cab rides are 10 to 20 euros away to shopping and the duomo, but the metro is just around the corner for 1 Euro. Internet WIFI is sketchy, didn't work for me or my friend, but did for others I know.

Overall not a bad stay and I would stay again!

“Okay hotel, clean, not a bad location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 March 2009

My husband and I came to this hotel on our honeymoon in November 2008. The hotel itself is clean. We found the night staff to be friendlier than the day staff. Beds are very, very small and uncomfortable. It’s actually quite funny, because the room itself is very small, but the bathroom is so large, it is about the size of the room itself. Also, another thing to note. The bathroom’s doors are glass and almost see-through. If you are going with someone that you would not be comfortable seeing you in the bathroom potentially, then don’t come to this hotel.

Unfortunately, we were given the room next to the elevator, even though we said we were on our honeymoon (which didn’t matter to them.) Trust me, you will HEAR the elevator, and even if they tell you that after 11PM no one can ride the elevator so there will not be noise, that is a lie.

The breakfast was top notch (of the four cities we saw in Italy – Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome), and on the top floor of the hotel with a lovely view of the city. It is about a 5 minute walk to the subway, and it is very easy to get around Milan, so don’t concern yourself if you are not staying directly near the Duomo. Make sure to see the original “The Last Supper”, but get reservations months in advance.

Overall, a decent hotel, but I probably would not stay there again given the opportunity.
