This is a nice hotel in a mostly unimpressive area of the city. Close to the Stazione Centrale, but the area is unattractive with no parks nearby.
However, the hotel is good overall. Rooms are nice although slightly small, and there seems to be different types. Large European electric plugs will not fit in the three-hole outlets, but reception provides adapters.
The restaurant offers a scrumptious breakfast and a good selection of classic Italian food for dinner. They also have free wifi (ask for a user/pwd) and a small gym. Employees are mostly helpful and so are the guys working at the restaurant. There are a bunch of restaurants in the area, mostly catering to office employees and a great organic grocery just next door.

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights. It's located near the Central Station but in an area with no restaurants or bars or shops. Room was very small and dated but the bathroom had just been renewed in a very modern and elegant style. The problem is that its chic design isn't thought for using it and having a shower became a big ordeal.
As for the breakfast buffet I think if was good with a large variety of choices.
Reception staff was always missing from their desk and weren't really keen on answering our questions.

I imagine this hotel was nice at some point in the late 60s or early 70s, but clearly there has been no attempt at upgrade ever since. The bed was uncomfortable, decor musty and dusty and the air quality was a hold-over from some smoke, filled business convention from '71. The small TV, ability to reach the front desk (some crazy red light system that I couldn't get turned off all night) and confusing internet connection made my stay not only unpleasant but unproductive. The only saving grace, was there are several good restaurants near-by.

Even with SPG status, it took one return trip to the front desk before being checked in to a renovated room - the hotel has rooms which have been renovated at 3 different points in time, if the room still has a crt-TV it's in the oldest batch. On my second night in the room, a buzzing sound started in the hallway, and continued on and off for the rest of my stay. This was rather frustrating to sleep with - and was loud enough to leave a ringing in my ears during the day. Although informed of the problem, the staff made no effort to fix the problem during my stay.

WIFI was very slow, although the manager assured me this was being worked on.

The tredmill in the gym was completely worn out - again the manager assuered a replacement was on the way.

Breakfast was fine.

Location is pretty good, as it is near the central train station. Although the 5min walk might not be ideal, especially later at night.
