“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

We booked a family room for 5, but it was technically 2 rooms adjoined together. Room was spacious, toilets (2 of them) were large and very clean. I highly recommend travelling families to book the family room. There was decent breakfast included with the room booking. It was slightly challenging to locate the hotel initially due to unfamiliarity with the tram system in Milan, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes very convenient as the tram stops right in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Book family rooms if travelling with a family.

“Last Supper trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We went to Milan to visit the Last Supper and see the Duomo. The hotel is located about an hour away using public transit(a tram, which stops across the street from the hotel and then transferring to the subway). The hardest thing is finding tickets for the tram which you can't buy prior to the day of use. The hotel didn't have any and directed us to the Irish pub which didn't have any and sent us to a newspaper shop which we couldn't find. We ended up taking a cab to make our last supper time. Other than that. The hotel was good, clean and the breakfast was great. The parking is round the corner and up a ramp 12 euro extra

“Good value for money during a week”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

We liked this hotel. The staff is helpful and friendly. Keen to go shopping? Hotel staff will kindly provide you with the advise.
The breakfast is good and the location of the hotel is more or less ok (about 5 km from the city center). Rooms and facilities are clean and spacious enough. The mattress and pillow were very comfortable. So during a week the price and quality balance is just perfect. Weekend nights prices seem to be too high for this hotel, considering the location vs city center and very poor soundproofing in the rooms so you will hear everything from inside and outside (I should use the earplugs).

Good to know:
1. You can go to the center by your own car but it is not possible to drive directly to the central place. Use parking places nearby ("Montenapoleone" is a good one, covered, we paid appr. 5 Euro for 3 hours). It will take 5 minutes to get the central pedestrian street.
2. You can use tram N 14. No tickets are available on the stops or in the tram. You have to buy tickets in the tabacco kiosks (shops) and better to do it in advance as they are closed in the evenings and Sundays. It is possible to ask people in the tram to sell you the tickets as some of them have several. So for us the travel by tram was not an option as it was evening, shops were closed and in the tram the public was without tickets ;) so we left the tram and used the taxi. Next day our choice was to go to the center by the own car. We found this is the easiest way of going there. By the way, parking facilities at the hotel are ok (they have 2 garages).
3. Have earplugs with you just for the case...

Room Tip: Probably rooms to the inner yard will be a bit more quiet.

“fine hotel, good staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

The hotel has a good location, being right next to 14 tram station, which takes to the Dome (30 min), leaves you 50 meter from Saint Lorenzo Maggiore Church or 100 meters from Castello Sforzesco. The stuff was very nice, at reception or at breakfast room only very helpful people. The selection for breakfast we consider as very good, with great pasticeria, italian coffee or cappuccino. The room was good, clean, large. From hotel, walking takes 20-30 minutes to Fieramilanocity at Convention Center.
You have to see Santa Maria del Grazie with "Last Supper" and the small interior courtyard, Sant' Ambrogio Church and panorama from the Dome.

“Clean friendly hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

We spent 5 nights in Milan whilst attending the Monza GP. Location is quite out of the centre of Milan, about 30 minutes on the tram, however the tram stop is adjacent to the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and sorted out all arrangements that we required.
