“The most refined and welcoming hotel in Milan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Wellcome to Palazzo Segreti which is for sure the most wellcoming hotel in Milan. Moreover, if you like confidential place (18 bedrooms) with refinement and sophistaication at the same time, this place (located right in the center of Milan!) is made for you. Some people criticize the way of design when an hotel has a reputation of "design hotel". Well I think this one is a well-designed one because we've really felt living in a special place during the days we were staying. And we were given so cool reception and good advices all over our stay there! People who look after this place love sincerly their hotel and want to give to their guest the best stay possible. They are very nice and so simply smiling and helpful. When I say "they", I mean everybody, including the boss, the desk, the very professional and discret housekeepers and the breakfast staff. They know how to be nice without being obsequious and to me and my husband, this is a real very important value (as this quality is sometimes pretty rare today, in this kind of place). Me and my husband are grateful to Palazzo Segreti for our pleasant stay and we warmly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: All 18 rooms are differents and deserved to be tasted!

“Wonderful stay!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

We stayed for only one night in this stylish hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, including recommending a great restaurant for lunch, the location was excellent, and the room was stylish yet workable. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Milan!

“Depends which room you get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

To call such a nondescript and bleak building a Palazzo is a new level of hype!
We spent 2 nights in the hotel last weekend in room 15. The room itself together with the bathroom could be an example of what's wrong in Italy. Everything looked beautifully, lots of style but little practical substance. It took 30 minutes to get warm water on Sunday morning, the mini bar did not work.
The room was so small that there was no space for a table.
We had a twin (!) shower but no door for the toilet.
Breakfast is served till 10h30, which sounds good. When we arrived at 10h15, the buffet was nearly empty and when we indicated that there was no more cheese available, it was politely acknowledged, but not changed.
On the positive side, the location is great and the staff was extremely friendly and helpfull.
And Wifi is free, very good.
Of course you can only judge a hotel from your own experience, which in our case is room 15.
But I believe the hotel is better than just this room and that's why they get 3 stars.

Room Tip: Please avoid room 15.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor.
We apologize for any inconvenience that you had during your stay, unfortunately happens sometimes to have unexpected malfunctions.
The concept of Palazzo Segreti is based on design, which is a very subjective and personal, without neglecting the comfort and functionality of the rooms and common areas.
We are very sorry that the room in which you were have not been to your liking.
Thank you for your opinion that will help us to grow even more and do better.
We hope to see you again and we hope that you will give us the opportunity to your next stay, to show the other wonderful rooms of Palazzo Segreti.

“Some highs and some lows”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

I recently spent 2 nights at the Palazzo Segreti. Overall it was a decent stay and reasonably priced.

Highs:
- Good location
- Stylish
- Excellent service; all the staff were very nice and helpful
- Good value
- Comfortable bed
- Fast and free WiFi
- No charge for the local and free calls I made (0800 numbers)

Lows:
- I might chalk this up to user error or arriving in the dark but it was difficult to find. The door is small and marked only by a small sign so I was walking up and down the street looking for a hotel entrance when I arrived at #8 and it appeared to be the entrance to an apartment building. Eventually I found it.
- No desk in my room; normally not a big deal but on this trip I needed to work and so was forced to work sitting on my bed
- The lighting in the room was pretty terrible. Whole corners of the room were just dark regardless of how high I had the lights on. In fact the whole hotel had bad lighting.
- The satellite TV kept cutting in and out (perhaps a function of the wind and rain)
- The breakfast was fine but no hot items offered

Thank you for writing your own review regarding our hotel, and for all that was "highs" we are very happy to find your approval.
I'm so sorry for what was wrong with your stay. The lights are a plus for this propriety (soft, not strong), the hotel has made advertising of this feature clearly.
The entrance is not the classic one of a hotel but something special to make it recognizable and photographed in all communications.
It's a hotel located near the Via Dante, in a small street, and the number of the rooms not justify the size of an entrance different than his. But I can understand if you compare to the international hotels (we are in Italy... smaller than other place around the world... ) Palazzo Segreti is a right answer for who are looking for something like that.
As regarding the breakfast is the strong point reported by many customers, the buffet is the bare minimum but the cuisine offers many delights on the season (such as salted pork and figs) or hot dishes.
Of course all you wrote will used by us to improve our services, to know better what our client are looking for, and we will be very happy to see again you in our hotel in order to give us your second impression.

“Just Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Very nice hotel & fantastic location : 20 meters from Via Dante (but also very quiet as it's in a small street) and Milan's main attractions are in a walking distance. Our stay was perfect there. The staff is excellent : they managed to get us tickets for the Cenacolo Vinciano even if all prebookings were closed. We loved our room (the 11). We loved the place (old palace, modern design). The only little minus is the place to park the car: it's very close to the hotel but quite expensive (as all parkings in Milan are). The hotel should negotiate some kind of arrangements for its clients to have a discount there. We would definitly recommend this hotel. Palazzo Segretti opened in 2011 and I'm sure it will become very soon one of the travellers' favorite!
