I really can't recommend this hostel.
1.) I felt like in prison
2.) you have spints with a big lock at the corridor, but when somebody opens ore closes the spint it is really noisy! --> so i can't sleep
3.) There is only one restaurant near the hostel, so you need to take the métro to get something warm to eat. You can get something at the hostel too, but i didn't try it ;)

I think it's easy to make friends at the hostel because it's big and in the evening there a a lot of people sitting in the outside and talk ;)

People have been slagging this place off. To be honest it's not a bad place at all. The staff are very friendly, it is very clean and the beds are comfertable and the place is secure.
The only bad point is breakfast is very limited on choice and very repetitive.
Very good value for money and a safe place to rest your head at night.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 friends on the weekend of 18 September 2009. Woke up at 3.30 am to find bedbugs crawling all over me. Asked to switch rooms - hostel agreed even though the person at the front desk claimed to have no idea what bed bugs were. Upon returning home, all three of us were completely covered in bed bug bites. All other factors about the hostel: price, breakfast, etc. are completely irrelevant when bed bugs are present.
