We stayed at Casa Poli for 7 nights in late October 2011 having been attracted to Mantova by a travel article in the Sunday Times in February; Casa Poli was mentioned as a good place to stay by the journalist who based himself at the hotel while researching the article. Our high expectations were exceeded; first the staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional; secondly the hotel was contemporary and stylish throughout with excellent lighting; our superior bedroom was stylish, very comfortable and quietly located at the rear of the hotel; breakfasts were varied and tasty; the light suppers available were good value. The hotel was an excellent base to walk to all parts of the town. A really great hotel. We also visited Cremona (superb lunch at 'hosteria 700') and Verona by train–very cheap by UK standards.

A great hotel, with very nice, helpful, friendly staff and comfortable rooms beautifully decorated in a contemporary, minimalist style. A very good bed and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower. Excellent breakfasts with all sorts of choices -- especially good if you can't eat gluten or dairy! The hotel is within walking distance of all the tourist attractions, and they helpfully provide you with directions if you are coming by car. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff and excellent amenities in the rooms. Very stylish furnitures, good beds and a continental breakfast with fresh homemade food. Close to the city centre, I also recommend this hotel in Mantova in order to do excursions in Verona where are hotels are mostly very expensive
