As a family we are smitten Olivi fans. My husband and I first came here in 1987 and we have returned about 7 times in the last 24 years with our three children who are now all adults! There is something very special about the Olivi and it really boils down to the wonderful staff who are friendly, professional and make you feel very special! The restaurant food is of a consistently excellent standard and we always go half board now. Meals on the terrace in the evening are magical. The views of Lake Garda from the bedrooms are spectacular. The beautiful salt water swimming pool is a real delight with the loungers placed arouns it and in the Olive grove that is the garden. This place is a real haven. The best thing? Well, my husband would probably say the bell that rings daily at half past four to summon you off your lounger over to the outside eating area where tea and biscuits are served from a beautiful samovar! We love the place!

I stayed at Hotel Olivi just for one night on september/2011 during a trip to Toscana.
It is a nice hotel, staff friendly and a very good breakfast.
The location, into the walls of old city, would be a problem if you are driving, but I did not have any dificult to reach the hotel. It is very simple. When you came at the gate of the town, show to the police your reservation voucher and your entry is facility.
Breakfast and parking included on rates is a good reason to stay at Hotel Olivi.

We've been four times now to this family run hotel. What's best is that it's truly Italian and does not pander to British tourists' tastes. The food is great so we hardly use the local restaurants, which is very unusual for us!

Just returned from four nights in Sirmione at the Olivi. We booked late and only a Premier Suite was available, for which we paid a considerable supplement. Room 357 was certainly not a suite which I understand to at least have a separate seating area. I appreciate that the bedrooms are very much Italian in style, which is not my favourite, but the very vivid, flowery design is difficult on the eye. The balcony was very poor, dirty in places, and desperately in need of an upgrade. I do not believe this was four star accommodation, unless the pool and the food enable it to reach this level. The staircases and public areas, other than the lobby and dining rooms, were shabby and in much need of refurbishment. Breakfasts were good and evening meals in the restaurant were well cooked and presented, but with little change in menu, though service with drinks could be slow. The canapes served with pre-dinner drinks are a meal in themselves. There appear to be many returning guests which I find quite surprising. Sirmione is lovely place, full of character and with plenty of opportunity for people watching!
