Well. Where to start? First of all - this is NOT a 4-star hotel by any meanings. I have stayed in hostels with better quality to be frank!
Before booking this hotel I had to make sure parking was included and since Hotel Como offered free hotel-parking according to Hotels.com we booked one night here. Upon arrival we get to meet an extremely unfriendly and almost hostile hotel receptionist (Nadia). Sadly we interrupted her dinner and she started yelling about that parking was full so I had to park on the street. Of course, this is not OK in my opinion but arguing with her is like talking to a wall. Important to say is that the first impression of the area is that its dodgy, full of graffiti and doesn't feel safe to put a €50k car at night.
With this in mind we hoped that the room would be OK at least, but this was a huge disappointment. The room, no 201, was like a prison cell with bars in the windows. The general feeling was that you were back in the early 90's. Worn down furniture and floors with scratches. Also the cleaning was poor, we found lots of long black hairs in the bed. Yuck!
Worst of all was the bathroom and the lack of cleaning of it. Shower was quit disgusting with dirt between tiles and shower had bad pressure.
Any thing positive? Well. Not much to be honest but free wifi in the room, even though it felt like using an old 56,6k modem. Breakfast buffe OK.
Summarized: if you get room 201, make sure you get it changed. It was fully booked at the hotel during our stay so we lacked the possibility of this.
Ps. I almost forgot the thing that really pissed me of most. We both couldn't get no sleep since doors were slamming all night and toilets flushing. Felt like sleeping on a truck ferry. In the morning I told this to the receptionist (Nadia again) and she just couldn't care less! What a rip off!
Stay OUT!
Room Tip: Avoid room 201

Dear Guest,
I am very sorry to hear about the bad service you experienced during your stay at Hotel Como. Please accept our most sincere apologies. We will do our best to dedicated more time to the training of our staff and I will personally make sure to rectify the attitude of those responsible for the inconveniences caused. I have duly checked with our housekeeping the various aspects you mentioned and we will make sure that such annoyances do not occur again in future.
We are aware that the hotel has some structural difficulties which are quite complicated to overcome but we strive to deliver the highest of standards at all levels. Most of our rooms are very spacious, unfortunately you were assigned one of the smaller rooms because the hotel was fully booked. Some of the rooms are undergoing refurbishment and in future we aim to offer more modern and pleasant accommodation.
Our hotel has a limited outdoor car park and small indoor garage. Unfortunately it is not possible to book a car park in advance; there are however public car parks nearby and the area is safe despite it looking not as attractive as one would expect.
We greatly appreciate all reviews from our guests as they help us to highlight any weak points in our organization and enable us to react rapidly and put remedy. Should you contemplate returning to Como in future, we would be more than pleased to be given a second chance and ensure you have a memorable stay.
Best regards,
General Manager
