This Hotel can't be any better located. Literally 20 yards from the fast boat dock on lake Como in Bellagio it serves as a perfect base to explore the whole Lake.
The Hotel itself is a solid 3.5 star but if you get a top floor front room with a balcony you feel you are in at least a 4 star.
Good breakfast in the morning and a great patio to enjoy an afternoon drink while enjoying views of the Lake. Easy access by boat to all the other towns.
Central to the Town of Bellagio, everything is in easy walking distance to all restaurants and sights.
Staff is fantastic and the only issue was a very hard bed. Well worth the stay, highly recommended.

A nice place with a great location. We stayed in room 43 which is in the front with a lake view. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great. We loved Hotel du lac and hope to be back real soon.

We stayed in a large room without a view (a little bit dated) in preference to 2 other waterfront hotels offering rooms (with views) that were in poor condition. The staff were friendly and helpful, free wifi and breakfasts on the balcony were a bonus. Ate dinner at the restaurant twice, excellent value. Hotel has a lift and is right in front of the ferry terminal.

We stayed at Hotel Du Lac for 2 nights in late September, and overall liked the rather plain, comfortable hotel. Our 4th floor room overlooked Lake Como ; we loved the view and liked being right by the ferry stop for convenience. Those virtues were also the only negative. If you are a light sleeper, the normal noises of the ferries and the waterfront starting up early each morning are not restful. If you are driving to Bellagio as we did, be sure to contact the hotel via email ahead of time to reserve a garage spot, as spots are limited. Garage costs 12 Euros per night and was well worth the expense, as we never used the car while in Bellagio.
