“Average hotel now”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

This is my third time staying at this hotel within the past 8 months. My first time was absolutely fabulous. They gave me a single room on the top floor which I believe it was renovated. Although it did not have a balcony, the room was very comfortable and functional. The latest visit was early December which I was very disappointed when they gave me a room on the second floor overlooking the parking lot. The room was not renovated. Although everything worked as expected, the room felt dated. I was told the hotel is fully booked and next time I can specify the top floor during booking. The receptionist gave me a cocktail coupon....Oh well....maybe next time I will try a different hotel to compare.

Arli Hotel still offer very nice amenities. It's location is also very good. There is a bus stop within 1 minute walk that will take you directly to the Bergamo airport. The train station is also within 10 minutes walk. There is a strip mall right across the street as well as many fine restaurants within the area. Breakfast is average. The only hot or warm food they serve is boilded egg. Although the service at the restaurant is very good. Wifi connection was not very good in my room.

Bergamo is a beautiful and clean city to visit. Especially Citta Alta which can be easily reach by bus, walking (or hiking) up the hill, or take the Funicolare.

Room Tip: If you are a solo traveler make sure to ask for the top floor after booking.

“tigers on tour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 November 2011

Bergamo itself is lovely, the citti alta is so pretty with some amazing eating places. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the bed was to die for. Especially after a long day exploring the area. Definately worth a visit with its lovely churches and very friendly people.

“Very Good Hotel For A Visit To Bergamo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

The Arli hotel will suit your needs for a visit to Bergamo, which thanks to Ryan Air (I never thought I would say those words) take you to within 15 minutes by bus to this delightful Italian town. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. It's convenient for the shops in the lower town, though if you are staying in Bergamo for the weekend do your shopping on Saturday as most of the shops are closed on Sunday and Monday.

I've only one grumble about The Arli and as mentioned by others, the breakfast coffee was terrible. I don't personally need much in the morning, but for a country that is so passionate about good coffee; this weak watery stuff was a disappointing aspect of their service.

“Very Nice Escape in an Underrated City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

The Arli Hotel boasts "Business and Wellness" in its moniker. Though not concepts that would seem strnage bedfellows, the Arli pulls it off. Accommodations are clean, if small, wi-fi is providede along with meetnig space, and the downstairs spa has to be one of the more relaxing environments on the planet. This is a very nice escape in a city I had heard almost nothing about. I'm glad we went for both the sight-seeing and for the Arli experience.

“Great choice in Citta Bassa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

We were very happy with our choice of the Hotel Arli. Its location is great - very convenient for buses (including airport bus, every 20 mins from just round the corner) and the railway station. We had a room at the back, and found it very quiet: but as the hotel is just off the really busy main road running at right angles to it, even rooms at the front shouldn't be too noisy.
Our room, with king-size bed, was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom was supplied with all toiletries you might possibly need. The aircon was unobtrusive, but at the back it was quiet enough to sleep with the window open.
Staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. They will take care of your luggage after check-out if you have a later flight.
Breakfast was fine - good selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruit, pastries and so on. It's perhaps slightly mean to restrict clients to one (small but good) capuccino or latte. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but enjoyed the bar, where you could have a reasonably-priced pre-dinner drink with complementary appetisers.
All in all, for a quiet, comfortable stay in a central location, the Arli is excellent. We'd be happy to stay there again.
