My forty (40) year history with this hotel goes back three(3) generations. Just steps away from the main promenade (Lungomare) the location is perfect with great sea views. The gracious and accommodating hosts Claudio, his wife Silvanna and their son Lorenzo keep the hotel up to the highest standards. No wish is too small for these extremely professionals to fulfill. You don't have the feeling of a cold hotel, as they take pride in the way they treat their guests . The feeling is more like being in their home.
The friendly and accommodating staff has been well trained,efficient and always available to help The beds are wonderful and a good nights sleep is the rule. The restaurant is first class with the freshest of sea food, and delicacies that show off Ligure at its best. I've recommended this hotel to many friends and family, and no one was ever disappointed . The prices are in line with the majority of hotels along the Riviera.

The location is wonderful - central and close, and adjacent to the seaside. Facilities are adequate, but nothing special. Helpful staff, though they pushed their own resturant a little too much for my tastes. Mosquitos in the room were annoying, but may not be unique to this hotel. Generally a good value, with the primary reason to select this hotel is the location.

The hotel is located just in front of the sea, the view is amaizing and the people there are fantastic. There is the owner Claudio that treated us very well... like a tipical Genovese... worm and funny. The food at the resturant Gambero is simply superb, ask for the Aragosta alla genovese it's small but very teasty.

This charming hotel, has been in the lovely Gambero family since the 1930's. Upon arriving I was immediately welcomed by Claudio, Silvana & Lorenzo Gambero. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered my very spacious room which was very nicely decorated and very clean, and equipped with every thing I would need over the next 5 days. I immediately opened the shutters and took in one of the most stunning views across from the Tigullio Gulf. Every morning I rose to the most amazing sunrise.

The location of this hotel could not be any better or more beautiful, the promenade is just 30 steps from the lobby, lined with gorgeous Palm trees and flower gardens which made for a lovely walk every morning after enjoying a yummy breakfast buffet courtesy of the hotel. All the quaint shops & restaurants of Rapallo are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel dining room and Hostaria Vecchia Rapallo were my two favourite restaurants, in ALL of Italy. Be sure to try the yummy pear ravioli at Massimos restaurant.

The charming Gambero' Family together with their friendly and helpful staff treated me so well, informing me of the train schedules, updating me on the weather forecast for the day, even seeing to my laundry before departing for Milan. I highly recommend this hotel, I would rate it 10 out of 10 . I am already planning my 2011 Italian vacation, back to the Charming Hotel Riviera in Beautiful Rapallo.
