They enticed us here in the winter with an extremely cheap price, but they treated us just like someone paying 500 euro/night in the summer. It is not unheard of for hotels to offer such cheap deals, and then sting the customer with extra charges on their credit card - but not here, we paid the rate booked online, and never felt any pressure to pay anything more. It was a relaxing and enjoyable 3-day weekend, and we were lucky to have some exceptional weather, close to 20 degrees each day, which is not uncommon for February in this region. The sea view was amazing, the property is really luxurious, and our only disappointment was that we couldn't try the beach. Being about 10 minutes walk from the town, it is a very quiet location, but you can easily reach any of the restaurants.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, first it is situated right on the coast with a great view of the Mediterranean ocean and Portofino. Second it is a beautiful property with a grand entrance, gardens, patios and infinity pool. Third it is in the town of Rapallo a short walk from the hotel, and two towns over from Portofino. Rapallo is a nice town if you want a less touristy town. There are small shops, restaurants, wine bars and many local food stores. The only thing that we were not happy with is the exercise room; there were no weights or machine other than a cycle, a treadmill, I don’t understand how a hotel with a spa can have such a dismal gym.
We loved this hotel and can’t wait to go back.

This hotel was wonderful. It's a 10 minute walk to the main part of Rapallo but that was fine. Our room was really nice and it's certainly worth having a sea view. Everything in the hotel was of good quality ie bed, furnishings, decor etc. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis because the price of the evening meal was really high, as were drinks. For 1 Mojito and a small lager it came to 24 euros!

The buffet breakfast was amazing. So much choice and everything really lovely. The view from the restaurant was brilliant.

We found staff to be helpful and polite.

We stayed for 8 nights in Room 620. The room was well furnished with a beautiful bathroom. The view from the balcony is"to die for" and we spent many hours enjoying the view. While we stayed in the hotel we celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary and dined on the terrace under the stars. While I wouldn't say the food was the best I have ever eaten, it was made up by the hotel giving us an anniversary cake plus dessert wine. The hotel staff were always very attentive.
The only snag I should point out is that the hotel is built on higher ground near the yacht club and there are 50 steps to be climbed as well as a steep driveway to negotiate. Crossing the main road can be tricky particularly for those with walking problems as there is no pavement on the hotel side of the road and you have to cross almost on a blind bend to get into Rapallo which is a short walk away.
Plenty of places to eat along the waterfront. To be honest prices are not cheap and quality is not as good as UK Italian restaurants. Buses and train travel is cheap and regular. Travelled by cable car to Santuario di Montallegro. We were disappointed that the view was obscured by trees and there was no viewing platform.
