This hotel is lovely and Paola, who speaks English well, is very welcoming and helpful. La Spezia itself was better than we expected based on what we had read about it. This was our base for an overnight stay so we could spend two days in Cinque Terre. The room is spacious and clean and the hotel is close to the main square where a typical Italian breakfast is arranged with a local cafe. It is also an easy walk from the train station or waterfront to catch transport to the Cinque Terre itself. We would definitely stay here again.

“Loved it!”
Walk to the hotel from the train station, as it is on a street that is closed off to cars. Also, let the hotel know what time you will be arriving because staff is only there in the morning.
Staff is great and friendly. The washroom is clean and big. The hotel is located on a street with a lot of shops and restaurants, so Saturday afternoon can be very noisy. However, it is very quiet at night because there is little night life. Everyone goes to Cinque Terre at night. We went to Riomaggiore at night and had a great time with the locals and tourists.
There are many places to eat close to the hotel, and they are cheaper then any place in Cinque Terre. Shopping is ok.
