We stayed 2 nights at this villa and wish we had not. In all fairness, it was a beautiful place, clean and spacious, great a/c and wonderful view by the pool. However, there was a lot of mold in the master bedroom coming from the shower which could be seen in the wall in the bedroom. The twin BR also had mold in the celing of the shower. If not for this, it could have been a great place. Instead, we all left with respiratory problems that we're still dealing with. The woman who checked us in did not speak English and was not very friendly. Being American, we are used to good service and hospitality, even a smile would have been helpful to breach the language barrier.
Another problem was the mosquitos which swarmed us at night. I didn't realize until then that the canopy beds had actual mosquito netting and did we ever need it! We did learn not to open the outside door at dusk once we killed the mosquitos.
Wish I didn't have to write this kind of a review, but I would never have guests at a place of mine have to deal with mold--it's very unhealhy. Unfortunately we we not able to report this problem (which they apparently knew about since they were removing dehumidifiers from the rooms upon our arrival) since we could not find them around even when we checked out, although I'm not sure we could have communicated effectively any way.
If you're thinking of booking this place, either be sure the mold has been addressed, or ask for the apartment that is not under the ground as ours was. Maybe the other one upstairs was fine.
