This is a one-star hotel just opposite the main train station in Genova.
We arrived in Genova in the evening when travelling between Torino and Nice, and booked to stay here for 48 Euro for one night. We were only there as a stopover, and had not planned to visit Genova, so being opposite the train station it was a good location for us.
Our room had a basin and two twin beds pushed together, a tv, and a nice view. We shared a bathroom with about 5 or so other rooms on the same floor.
Positives:
*Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
*Comfortable beds with good bedding gave a good night of sleep
*Lots of space in the room to leave luggage
*The bathroom was quite clean, better than I expected given that we were sharing with quite a few others.
*There is a restaurant with cheap food in the street behind- they will be able to give you the name at the front desk.
Not so good:
*The area is fairly dodgy- ok during the day, but pretty scary to walk through at night. The hotel itself is safe, but I was very happy to stay inside for the night, off the street!
This place is good if, like us, you want a clean, cheap place with your own room to stay for one night, if you are travelling by train. If you are planning to stay in Genova and see some sights, I would go away from that area and stay elsewhere.
