Travelling togehter with the family we had made a reservation for three rooms in early february to Marinella.
When getting the keys to the rooms it shows that one of the rooms we got was already occupied. When telling this to the personnell it was as nobody really knew who was occupying the room. After a while with different phonecalls and negotiations we got two rooms at Marinella and one room at a hotel 50 mtrs away. The other side of the railway.
Bruno the manager was very helpful and gave us drinks on the house + other gestures of good will and we don't have anything to complain about except that we didn't stay at the same hotel as planned. He handeled their mixup very professionally.
I didn't sleep at the hotel myself but the following pros/cons were told by my fellow travellers.
+ location, totally fantastic
+ friendly staff
+ best view in room nr 1
+ clean
- rooms needs desperately refurbishment
- smell in one of the rooms I think nr 2
- noise from the trains
- bed a bit hard
It's definately not a 3 star hotel it's more of a B&B with an extraordinary location.
