We booked this hotel because it was about the only one we could find that was available when we were in Genoa. Although it is very close to the train station, which was beneficial, and the rooms were fine, the front desk people were the opposite of helpful. They were all amazingly grouchy for small hotel staff. The check in process took about 25 minutes as one man wrote down all the information on all 4 of our passports and kept eyeing us suspiciously over his glasses while doing so. They agreed to store our luggage for us for a few days while we went to Cinque Terre and told us they had a secure place to do so when in fact, they had a very small storage area for luggage and ours sat in the open lobby the whole time we were gone.
