I stayed at the Sheraton Genova for 2 nights in late January 2011. For me it was the most convenient place for business reasons and due to the fact that I had a very late arrival flight and very early departing flight and this hotel is located just a 5 minutes walk from the airport (250 mtrs), though there is a shuttle that can take you or pick you up from the airport entrance if you ask for it. Don't worry about its closeness to the airport: rooms are wonderfully isolated and you won't be disturbed from your sleep. The hotel was very nice in general. The service was excellent and the staff was willing to help. I arrived very late in the night without having had dinner and the room service was at my door with my order just 10 minutes after my request.Rooms are spacious and bed quite comfortable. Also the bathroom was quite big and was plenty of nice toilettries. For italian hotels this is above standards. My only complain is referred to the breakfast. The room where it is served is not very nice -though there is plenty of light- and the variety and quantity of food left much to be desired. In any case I will for sure stay again in this hotel if I come back again to Genova.

My husband and I selected this hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the offer of a free shuttle to the airport in the early morning.
We also took advantage of the free shuttle to the city centre to do some sightseeing and shopping.The staff were very helpful and spoke English, the room was clean and quiet and the beds very comfortable.We got a good price by booking directly with the hotel and felt we got good value fo our money.

The hotel is starting to show its age, carpets, decor, etc. Also the room I stayed in, the refrigerator was nor plugged in, as it needed an adaptor, and the bath tube plug was broken. Will never stay here again.

Also had to pay for internet on top of the high room rates.

We used room service here, which was quick and accommodating of a special request. Front desk staff were also very responsive and helpful We appreciated having free parking here. The shuttle to the city center was limited to daytime hours, so we drove. Even having GPS to get us downtown, it was still challenging, especially trying to get right to the heart of the Old City, which is largely pedestrian only. If you drive into the heart of the city, avoid the "ZTL" areas, as the fines are substantial!
