Italy people are most of the time happy, except at this hotel. It is a hotel with good rooms, in a central part of Geneva, close to bus parade. Is a hotel just to be one day.

Whilst the beds are very comfortable the standard rooms are very small.
The shower cubicle of 65x65 cm is a joke. The mould in it is a reality.
We have asked the chambermaid to remove the mould, which she promised, but did not do!!! The carpets are also dirty and worn. Breakfast is below standard for this category.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we could not get any hotels on the nearby coastal resorts due to an Italian holiday and were pleasantly surprised by Genoa.
I agree with other reviews that this hotel looks better in pictures than real life, the lobby area is very nice and offers free 30mins wi-fi, to use the wi-fi in the rooms you need to pay, corridors are very dark, lifts are creaky and dark also. One of the concierge staff we found particularly rude and unhelpful from the moment we checked in, but not all are the same.
The breakfast is a good selection of hot and continental style, bathrooms are spacious with good showers and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. We got a good rate through hotels.com but i would have been a bit more disappointed had we paid full price. Still recommended and very handy for those travelling by rail (rooms are double glazed so you there is no noise from the station at all).

This is the third hotel I've used in Genoa as I travel there on business quite frequently and thought it was very good. It has a good location by the station and a short walk to the main shopping area. The hotel is clean and rooms are very comfortable with good views of the city if you ask for a high floor. Check in was prompt, and despite what some previous reviewers said I found the reception staff friendly and helpful.The wi-fi is not free in the rooms and is offered through Swisscom, but thats quite common in Europe, but you can get 1 hour free in the lobby if you just want to check emails. I ate in the restaurant on both nights and thought the food was very good with friendly prompt service. If you want to eat out there are several restaurants within a 15 minute walk. I also used the bar in the lobby and again have no complaints. Overall a good experience and I will return.
