I did not find this hotel on par with BEST WESTERN class. Location in a small road and does not offer any view. Rooms were small and ordinary for the price. Breakfast area is so small. In total, I would not suggest it for a family.

I had a room on the eight floor; modern,,confortable; good bed; bathroom clean and well equipped; quiet (it was the eight flloor!!)
The breakfast room is a bit tiny, could be better. Breakfast nothing special, just regular. The weak point of the hotel.
Overall, the hotel is worth the money. The location is in a small road near the old harbour, very "old Genova".

This was a great place in a very good location. The room was a good size and very clean. It was located right in the middle of many shops and restaurants on a very narrow typical Genoa street. Our room faced the street and we had no noise problems. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They made us feel very welcome and their English was much better then our Italian.

Porto Antico proved to be the prefect hotel for a 3 night stay in Genoa prior to joining a cruise. It's location was fantastic right on the Port and on the edge of the old town perfect for exploring the beautiful city of Genoa. The hotel itself was simple, offering a very good continental style breakfast. The room we had was on the 8th floor( I had requested a high floor!) with modern minimalist furnishing, a very good bed and well-appointed bathroom. The air-conditioning worked well and the room was kept spotlessly clean. We were very happy with our stay, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful and I would definitely recommend Hotel Porto Antico.
