Fulvia the proprieter is as helpful as any owner of accommodation can be. She is ready to show off her good knowledge of English - and very ready to guide you in your faltering Italian - about any aspects of the sights to see in and around Genoa: the Aquarium, the Zecca-Righi Funicular, Portofino and the Cinque Terre, Nervi, the football stadium and many many beautiful museums and shopping areas - which abound in Genoa. It is a long, thin city, set between the mountains and the sea. Across the road (literally) from Delfino Blue are the large "floating hotels", the steamship liners that cruise the Mediterranean Sea. The Volabus from the airport passes by the front door, coming to a convenient stop at Principe Station. I used Google Streetview to confirm the short walk along Via Adua etc to the front door of Delfino Blue, which was very handy because as soon as the bus came to the large ships, I could see all the places exactly as I had seen them on Streetview, and so had an easy walk back from the bus. The house is very clean and tidy: no-one may smoke, save for the owners... The rooms are large, clean and tidy, and all the floors are made from marble. The "common area" is the hallway where there is a free internet desk, and a piano for all to use! The kitchen is clean and tidy - light breakfast is included in the modest charge, and brought-in food is possible to eat in there in the evenings. As I say, Fulvia is always on hand and is very approachable to ask about any aspects of your stay in the city. I thoroughly reccommend this establishment - and who knows, I may well stay there yet again!
