They say your booking did not come through...make you pay cash. They later they collect again 50 Euros for a no show. Avoid I am reporting them to the Italian Authorities as soon as I can figure out who that is!!

This is a last resort. The apartment was fine but we were threaten with police for trying to pay with credit because he said we did not reserve the room. Anyway we paid cash they screwed the booking agent the tax man etc and were happy.

I took my mum on a trip to Italy in September and we spent a night in Cinque Terre at Locanda dalla Compagnia. Although the location is great, the service was abysmal and the room overpriced for what it was. We arrived and although they had a credit card machine at the front desk were told we had to pay hot "Cash only" for the room before being led up to one of the apartment rooms. The man at the front desk was extremely rude and did not make us feel welcome at all....got the impression all he was interested in was us handing over the payment. My booking confirmation included wireless, however when I went down to get the access code later in the day, reception was being looked after by two teenage boys who had no idea about the access code to the wifi.

We were told breakfast was at 9am but when we got downstairs in the morning were told it wasn't included...that said, wasn't too bothered as it was just a croissant and cup of coffee from the coffee machine.

I'm a pretty easy going person who isn't normally negative about things, however our experience was that bad that I felt the need to let other people know. Would strongly not recommend staying here. We stayed at a number of other places at Italy and had a wonderful stay at every other location.

We were immediately offered the top floor apartment, instead of the room we had booked. Although suspicious of these sorts of offers, we accepted their offer - it turned out to be a good decision as we had a lot of extra space, and cooking facilities.

The owners are helpful and friendly, but the breakfast is definitely not worth paying extra for. Save your money and go to a café.
