La Pineta offer tiny rooms for desperate last minute accomodation seekers, down in the basement. It literally is a Shoe box.
I decided to stay extra 2 nights so I accepted this room at the last min which was offered to me by the young man in the tourism office after making a few calls. I had to meet a lady called "Sonia" in the car park who directed me to the place. I was desperate and in a hurry to grab accommodation as a busy weekend was approaching so I accepted it without inspection. She offered it to my for 35Euro a night. Over priced for what you get. I quickly came to regret that decision. I should have negotiated.
It was literally a SHOE BOX. I took a photo which I will post up later. As I stretched out my arms, Both hands could touch the wall at the same time. ( Not even to the full extent!)
Here is a list of other issues.
Crapmed living conditions
No rooms are serviced during the day. No clean towels or toiletries. ( only one tub of baby wash).
No space for luggage. You are charged extra for baggage storage. The cupboard is in the hallway. You share it with everyone else.
Cold water. Showers are only 1min long because that's how long the hot water system lasts for.
The shower is above the toilet, basin and bide'. If you forget to remove the toilet paper, You're in trouble.
Early check out 9:30am.
No reception, everything is done with the individual.
Poor lighting when you use the stairs down to the basement at night.
Tiny window with fencing. Giving the feel of a prison cell.
Only one wall socket mounted near the light switch in an inconvenient place.
No wastebin for any rubbish.
Only one tiny towel to use for your stay.
And,, the bed is a double bunk. They will ask if you want to bring a friend they will only charge you 25Euro Each. (50Euro) It's not fit for one person, let alone two!
I do not recommend this place to anyone.
