I have stayed at the Ambassador a few times for an annual film festival held locally, and have always enjoyed my stay. It's got a touch of old world elegance, and although there are other hotels in town which are newer and fancier (and more expensive), I like the personality of this hotel and the fact that I see the same faces there every time I stay. Udine is a charming place, and for me a destination in its own right as well as being conveniently connected via road or rail to Venice, Trieste, and Pordenone.
