I stayed for one night at this hotel. It does what it says on the tin, it is basic but clean and relatively comfortable and is in a good location. Despite the other reviews, I found the breakfast to be fine with a lot of choice although I agree the dining area is rather small but certainly not a problem out of season. Breakfast is available from about 7am to 10 or 11 am so no complaints about that. In fact, my only real complaint was one particular Receptionist who I encountered twice - once after I booked and then during my stay. I The booking was made from a hotel in Slovenia and when I rang to check they had received my booking, I was told that I had booked a double room, cancelled and booked a single room and because I had cancelled outside their cancellation period, I would have to pay 60 euros on top of the price for the single room. When I tried to explain that she had got it wrong, that I hadn't booked a double room, she was insistent that I put it in writing to the booking agents but that I would have to pay. When I told her I didn't understand how this could have occurred, she was very abrupt and curt, shouted "you will have to pay!" and slammed the phone down. Not a good start. It then took me 2 hours and an international call to England to be told that the hotel had indeed made a mistake and it had been sorted out so I wouldn't have any further problems. This had taken me a long time out of my holiday plus associated costs to sort out an error not of my making. On the morning I was due to leave, this particular receptionist was on duty. I introduced myself as the person she had made a mistake with over my booking and waited for some form of acknolwedgement and apology. None came. She said the error occurred because the booking was made with a person of the same name. When I replied that my both my Christian name and surname were very unusual in England, she became surly and agitated. When it became obvious I wasn't going to get anywhere, I asked for my passport back which I had previously been advised I could have, she again very abruptly told me I could have it back when I paid. I found her manner extremely rude and unhelpful (she's blonde with short hair, late 30's, distinctive voice). Be warned - don't mess with her! Aside from that, the hotel is what it is. If you're just passing through the city either on your way somewhere else or before taking a flight home, it is fine - just don't expect any form of civility from that particular receptionist.

Dear Madam, we apologize if you had a negative experience with someone of the staff, we think kindness is the most important thing and we are always interested in comments from customers because they are what allows us to improve our service.
About the problem with your reservation, we’d like to say we receive many bookings and misunderstandings can happen, especially if modifications or cancellations are made by phone from other countries and the communication can be not so clear.
