We wanted to spend a few days within the old city of Rimini after staying at the beach side first.

We found the Duomo a splendid hotel with cool and nice design details all over.

We stayed in a Dreaming Suite. We would like one of them on the ground floor since they have a private garden, but we got one in higher floor.

The location is perfect for discovering the old town of Rimini and also very quiet area. The suite had good space and bathroom with jacuzzi was large. The balcony was ok with two design chairs.

The hotel has beach service and has scheduled hours for going to beach and return pickup.

It's a nice and pretty modern hotel located right in the middle of the town, however it was initially pretty hard to locate it and drive to its entrance using an in-car GPS system (mostly due to all of those tiny streets which surround the hotel). The rooms were pretty clean and nicely decorated but they were pretty small. The hotel does have a free wi-fi internet access, however it was somehow incompatible with my laptop's built-in wifi adapter (never had this problem before), I had to use my iPhone (which worked pretty well with hotel's wi-fi system) for all my internet needs. There's no minibar in rooms, however there is a large "minibar" located in the main corridor on each floor which is basically free to use (you're supposed to fill up the paper form each time you're taking something from this bar but you don't have to actually do it).

It was fine but nothing special. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. However..... the wifi in the rooms didn't work with my Mac and there was no mini bar?! The cupboard doors didn't open very easily and the tv was a bit challenging. It seemed like money had been spent on form rather than function. There was no information in the room (regarding any of the services offered, time of breakfast etc) which was a bit annoying. Luckily the staff were very nice and helpful.

Given the fact it was mid-August in Rimini for the price (I paid 190 euros for one night) it's fine. The night before I'd paid 80 euros for a 2* hotel which had a squeaky bed and no air con and a poor breakfast. Relative to this the DuoMo was good value.

The bathroom was nice, but needed a shelf or something. I ended up leaving my toilletries on the floor. The location was good for the old town (nice bars, restaurants and shops nearby) and the hotel had a little shuttle campervan to the beach.

If I was anywhere else I'd expect a bit more for my money....
