“Goog Staff, Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2006

The front desk staff were very pleasant , especially a darked haired girl, but cannot remember her name !!. The location is good, close to beach , restaurants etc, and parking right in front of hotel, for a reasonable cost (via the hotel reception ).
Rooms were adequate , breakfast the best choice we had in italy .
Only thing lacking was a pool, considering the high cost of entry to the beach , and we had rain every day , so we paid to use beach every day and within an hour we had to run off the beach from the rain , with no refund of course!!.
Also, i do not recommend the restaurant at the front of hotel , over looking the street and side walk , the service was terrible and the food was the worst we had in Italy and quite expensive.
The waiters fussed around a large group of Italians , who arrived 50 mins after us but got their food , drinks etc before us !!

“Four star hotel in a great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2006

The hotel is a four-star chain hotel. It is clean but not lux. Staff spoke English and was professional (we asked for an iron and they said it was illegal for them to provide it!). The room isn't huge but it was ok considering it contains a king size double bed (which is really comfy). The bathroom could do with a lick of paint. The room is air-conditioned and has a small balcony with a side sea view. Breakfast was good but not great (there are lots of local cafes where you can get great Italian coffee for less).

The beach is 3-5 minutes walk from the hotel. 95% (or more) of Rimini seaside is divided into private beaches where you have to pay fees to get in. The hotel deals with beach 25 where guests pay discounted price (13 euros) to get in (price includes towels, parasol + 2 chairs). However, expect to be located in the back rows where you have no view of the sea (front rows seem to be given to customers paying the full price!). All Rimini private beaches are organised to maximise profit and are excellent examples on mass tourism! Besides, the sea itself is very warm and murky. The weather wasn't really Mediterranean and felt more like northern Italy weather (we had rain storms in August!).
I certainly didn't enjoy the beach and my advice is if you're looking for a beach holiday, then look somewhere else.

The area is full of Italian families on holiday and also young Italians (15 to 25 yrs) having summer fun, which gives a feel of Italian culture and behaviour. The hotel location is also convenient for local and regional travel. It is 20-30 minute by bus to San Marino and if you're patient enough to sped over 3.5 hours on a bus/trains journeys, you could travel to cities like Florence and Venice, which I greatly enjoyed. All in all, Sightseeing and food in Italy was as great as ever, however, Rimini beach certainly wasn't.

“Very similar situation but was fun!!!”

I stayed in this hotel for one night only in 2002.
It was the end of a trip to Italy where we visited Rome, Cascia, Assisi, Florence, Pisa, Venice and finally Rimini. Unfortunatly the weather was very bad it was raining all the time ( although it was August) so we couldn't profit from the beach, however we passed all the day in the main street parallel to the beach ( I don't know the name)where the are numerous shopping stores and restaurants.

Although time was short and weather conditions were not favorable I had a good time. I would like to go back there and if possible stay in this hotel. It has a very very good location. In the middle of the main street. Other than the good location the hotel is very nice although not super luxe but has a certain level. The lobby is luminous and spacious. The lunch and dinner restaurant is good and the italian food was great not to mention the small breakfast restaurant that served a buffet breakfast which was not bad.
We had a very beautiful room, luminous, spacious and a balcony overlooking the sea. I wasn't going to write what you will read next but I was encouraged by what another tripadvisor member from England has written about an accident that happened with him in the bathroom. When I read it I laughed because the same thing happened to me. The day of our departure to our country and while the bus was waiting to pick all the group to take us to the airport, I was locked in the bathroom. My aunt rushed down to the reception desk to ask for help. Until someone came up I could manage to open the door when the receptionist saw me he said: " Good she is still alive!!!!!!"
I keep this as a funny memory from my trip to Rimini and don't consider it as a bad thing.

“Excellent location”

This hotel is one street back from the beach and right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants.

The room was quite spacious, & air conditioned. One thing which did let the hotel down was they lost our laundry (& found it again) due to a mistake made by housekeeping. It took an awful long time to sort out and I felt they were not giving it the required amount of attention.

Rimini is quite an acquired taste I found, with the food not being the best in Italy and all the beaches are private. Each hotel has it's own beach which you have to pay to enter - you can't even walk on the beach unless you walk right to the pier by the Dolphinarium - this is the only public beach. The beach owned by this hotel was 5 euros a day per person which isn't too bad, but some of the others charge up to 12 euros a day.

The weekends are ridiculously busy, we went to four restaurants before we could get a table and then the waiter kept forgetting about us (& other diners, some of who walked out in disgust).

If you are going to go to Rimini, then I suggest you avoid the weekends, and ensure you book a hotel with either a section of beach or a pool of their own.

“Worst Hotel in the resort”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2005

I never like to do a place down but this hotel took the buscuit. The rooms air con was not operating and the staff would not move us. There seemed to be plenty of room, they just could not be bothered. One of us locked themselves in the toilet within 5 minutes - try explaining that in very broken Italian. The balcony was dirty. Our stay here was part of a 3 week tour of Italy and it was the worst hotel by some stretch. Our fault probably because we tried to get it on the cheap... not worth it. It's true what they say - You get what you pay for!!! Not the Cat's whiskers at all!!
