Stayed at this hotel in July 2010. Location great but that's about it. Everything well used. Hotel rooms in need of some TLC. Pool itself was quite refreshing in the heat however the pool area again in dire need of a facelift. One other thing - customer service/compassion non existent - we were due to stay for 7 nights, however, after 3 nights we received bad news that my father was in his last hours and so we had to book flights back to the UK 3 nights early. We explained our predicament on check-out but Daniella insisted we pay for all seven nights. We weren't of a mind to debate this at the time. On our return home we tried, through the booking agent, to retrieve the cost of the unused 3 nights. After much wrangling with the hotel over many weeks who insisted on copy boarding passes, death certificate etc they then said they would not refund. Reading between the lines; at first they did not believe the situation, then once all the documentation as requested was given to them as proof, they decided it was policy not to refund unused nights. Just poor and insensitive.
