“Rooms were tiny!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2010

Spent ten nights here and when we arrived in our room, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or to cry, the room was that small. Don't even start me on the size of the bathroom. You could use the loo and take a shower at the same time, if you so wished! There was no way we could have endured it, no place to even put two suitcases down, let alone share the room for ten nights with another human being, no matter how much in love you are! Thankfully it was off season so they showed us to a suite which at least had an adjoining room with table, chairs and cooking facilities, and somewhere to park the aforementioned suitcases. Oh, and you could hear everything going on in the next room, especially what time they commenced their ablutions! The only thing good about the hotel is its location and the friendly reception staff. Regarding Rimini, well, we won't be going back as it's just awful.

“Hotel Litorameo The friendly Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2008

We stayed at Hotel Litoraneo for 10 nights between 14th and 24th July 2008. When we arrived at midnight we were greeted by a very friendly Engish speaking night receptionist. We had a terrible journey and he gave us some good advice about a route that would be better for us if we came again. The room was very small but who wants to spend their holiday in the room looking at television so that was fine. We had clean towels etc every day and everything was kept spotless. We only had breakfast and there was a good selection of food. The barman (Lambardo) was very friendly and very very helpful as was Guisy and Ingrid on reception. We didn't expect people to speak English so we learnt some Italian before we went after all if we have overseas visitors in the UK most English people don't bother to learn another language to help them out. There were no other English people about which was nice because they are usually moaning so we didn't have to listen to any negativity. We would definately go to this Hotel again.

“Don't stay here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2007

This is supposedly a 4* hotel but I would rate it as 2* maximum. Our "prestige" apartment was very small. The two rooms together were no bigger than a normal 4* hotel room yet they had crammed in a bedroom, dining/sitting room and shower room. In the dining room there was a very hard bed, with another bed stored underneath. Had we wanted to use both these beds, the table and chairs would have had to be pushed hard against the kitchenette. There was nowhere comfortable to sit. In the bedroom, we could not sit up in bed because there was a shelf above the bed which rested neatly on the back of our necks if we tried to sit up. The web site said that it had an oven, but they meant to say a 2 burner hob. They provided a dish washer but no powder for it and it is not worth buying a large packet just for a few days use. Unlike other apartments of the same type that we stayed in in Italy, they did not clean the apartment at all for the four days we were there. Surely for a 4* property we could have expected at least a cleaner every other day. The shower room was so tiny that when sitting on the loo, my knees touched the shower cubicle (and I am only 5'2"). The two balconies were tiny and each just took two chairs. There was no room for a table, so none was supplied. The front of the balconies were made of concrete so when sitting we could not see over them. The hotel is sited between two main roads, so it is very noisy at all times. On the plus side, the foyer is very plush, the staff were very nice, there was secure parking, free internet access, and the use of a washing machine and tumble dryer. The web site said that there was satellite TV but I don't think it was. The other 7 places we stayed in Italy all had sat TV and we at least got one English speaking channel such as BBC World or CNN, but this only had Italian channels. The apartment was very depressing.

“Very basic hotel certainly not worth the 4 star ratings it gives itself!”

On paper the hotel seemed ideal for what we wanted. "A 4 star hotel on the beach front with a pool" however although the hotel were charging 4 star prices, the venue certainly did not reach our expectations. We arrived to find the pool was tiny and situated at the front of the hotel practically on the noisy main road (certainly not a place for holiday relaxation.) The staff appeard inofficient and not particularly friendly. The fact that they didn't speak any English didn't help either!
The room was tiny and could just about fit a double bed in it! we could hardly get our suitcases in. Although the shower room (no bath) was modern and clean, there were no proper towling towles. We were expected to dry ourselves using cotton sheets, which was not the case in the other Italian hotels we stayed in. Perhaps if the hotel were cheaper and gave itself a more appropriate 3 stars, we would have felt differently. We would definately not go again. On a possitive note the breakfast and dining room were very nice and there was plenty to choose from.

Gentilissimo Ospite,
