“Comfortable and great location.”

Ravenna is definitely one of my favorite cities, and this hotel was an added bonus. Granted, it wasn't the most amazing hotel I've ever been to, but I had a great night's sleep and was able to get to all the sites I came to see. It was right in between Theoderic's mausoleum (which is a bit of a walk from the city center) and the major historical sites - which was great. The breakfast was mediocre but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. If you are only looking for a place to crash for a few nights, this is an ideal hotel. If you are looking for pampering or a trendy atmosphere, might try somewhere else.

“Great location, amazing breakfast”

We'd never stayed at an NH before and didn't realize they were famous for their breakfast spreads (huge hot and cold buffet), so were quite impressed. The hotel is also well-located within easy walking distance of all the main sights, and has parking nearby. Our superior room was relatively attractive (no view, unfortunately) with a decent bath and even passable bath amenities (although they looked and smelled like Lifesavers fruit candy flavors). TV had multiple foreign-language channels, and internet was better than many hotels in Italy. Overall, a solid leisure or business hotel.

“You get what you pay for or like any other 4 star Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2010

Hotel is very central located, within walking distance to the station and town center.
Car parking during weekends and evening/nights is not a problem, as there is lareg car park right in front of the hotel. Monday to Friday 08:00hrs to 20:00hrs you have to pay for parking on this car park, but the hotel os offering day car park tickets for € 7,00.

Staff is very friendly and helpfull, WIFI is free of charge.
Breakfast is the Italian style and servedf from 07:30 on until 10:30. This might be ideal for holiday makers , but for me itwas a little late starting.

had booked a verry competetive rate for a single room for 4 nights, but at the end of the day the room was a bit small. Size would have been Ok for staying 2 nights and sleep only in the room, but already for 4 nights it could have been a little more spacious.
You only get what you pay for.

Overall the hotel was clean and well maintained. Bathroom had a by far sufficent size and was equipped with everything you need.

“Quiet and warm welcome near the Centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2010

When you walk a lot sightseeing under the rain, you need a hotel which is near the centre, warm, clean and with a high level of service. You won't care too much about frills. And you will find this at the NH Hotel of Ravenna (formerly Jolly Hotel).
Great location if you arrive by train (2 minutes walk from the railway station) or by car (the hotel offers convenient rates for a nearby garage), and 5 minutes walk away from the beautiful city centre.
I highly recommend the hotel, but avoid the restaurant (even if breakfast's ok). Even if Ravenna is not renown for food like other Emilia-Romagna's towns, you'll find better places to go eating.
One thing you might like or not: rooms are very warm, even with the heat turned off (we had to sleep with the windows open, with 4 degrees - Celsius- outside!)

“Central location, great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2009

I have stayed at the Jolly on 3 occasions now, over the past 3 years. It represents great value for a hotel in a central location. Rooms are clean and tidy, and although some of the standard rooms seem to be a little on the small side they are comfortable enough. Bathroom also small in my room, but adequate, an again, very clean.

Check-in and check-out were both efficienct. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but there was nothing fundamentally wrong with it.

I believe the hotel has just been bought by a Spanish chain 'NH Hotels', so it will be interesting to see if there are any changes over the coming months. But, at the moment, for a 2/3 night stay in the centre of Ravenna, it represents great value and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
