This hotel was in an excellent location near the station. It looked tired and the room needed refurbishing. There was limescale in the bathroom, the extractor was ineffective, and the light bulb in one of the lights in the room was out when I arrived-you'd think someone would have checked. And one of the towels had a dodgy looking yellow stain on it. However, the room was otherwise clean and comfortable, with fridge and a safe, and good air conditioning. Despite it being supposedly a non-smoking hotel there were people smoking in their rooms and the air conditioning was centrally recirculated so at times it smelt of cigarette smoke. I didn't complain at the time and it was not the hotel's fault but it was unpleasant, albeit remedied by turning off the air conditioning and opening the window. Some reception staff were very friendly and helpful, others a bit cold. The best things about this hotel were that it had a comfortable lounge area, and a fantastic buffet breakfast with cheese, scrambled eggs, croissants, pain au chocolat, brioches with jam, three types of cereal, and every conceivable type of fresh fruit. Oh and delicious yoghurt. The restaurant served dinner in the evening, but was quite expensive and the menu had limited choice. Overall, I'd say that the hotel was good value for the price.
