“So far so good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

This is the fourth time we have used the My One Hotel in Parma on our trips to and from Ancona to catch the ferry to Greece. So far so good. We have had some excellent deals if you book ahead and the rooms have been spacious well equipped clean and excellent large double beds, King size maybe?
We ate in the restaurant on our last visit and the food was very good as was the service. Parking was easy and secure'ish, and close to the hotel so that transporting baggage was relatively stress free. No porter, but no pretences at being something it isn't either. Good value, pleasant staff and clean rooms. Bathrooms need towel rails but part from that for the money, hard to find fault. Will continue to use on our travels and we would recommend this hotel to a friend.

Room Tip: All rooms we have had, have been very good. Different location every time, but always good.

“Solid hotel in amenable surroundings with good restaurant”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2011

First of all, the hotel is in a lovely tree-shaded setting with a notable outdoor patio/seating area. (Yes, this is for smokers, but it's enjoyable all the same.) It's a more residential section with soccer field at the back of the property. It's a 10-minute walk to a shopping mall with robust grocery story. The breakfast was quite good, and given previous reviews, we chose to stay in and dine one evening. At first, it seemed perhaps this was a mistake as no one was around, but soon after asking at the desk, wait staff appeared, the service was excellent, and the food (e.g, sea bass; dinner-size salad) was very good. The desk staff were not very friendly. But our main complaint was lack of towel racks in the bathroom.

“Very Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

Stayed here for one night on my from Germany to Naples. The hotel was exceptionally clean and was very easily accessible from the Autostrade. My room was well equipped and very clean. The hotel restaurant was very good. Breakfast in the morning was ample and very enjoyable.

“Closer to town than you expect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

I read reviews here before getting lodged at Villa Ducale and was worried I would be stranded in the middle of whatever "nowhere" is in Italian. But the nice people at the desk just said: Walk out the side gate, turn left, walk to the next big street and turn right. In no more than 20 minutes I was looking at Teatro Regio.

It's no more than 10E for a cab ride into the center of town, too.

But you could happily spend your time with no side trips here, in comfortable chairs under an awning outside or indoors near the well-tended bar (great cappuccini, generous spritz).

Breakfast is quite good, too. Just go get a handmade cappuccino (for free at breakfast) rather than settling for one from the machine.

Room Tip: Overlooking fountain is nice if noisy late @nite

“Good Business Hotel with Great Restaurant Attached.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2009

Very good service from the reception staff who spoke very good english.
Modern room with comfortable bed and nice big bathroom.
Not much draw or cupboard space if staying for a long trip.It may have a mini-bar but a kettle with tea and coffee would have been better.
It seemed strange that you could not get an iron or ironing board to just straighten things out before going to meetings.
Breakfast was ample but you did have to catch the waiter/waitresses if you wanted a nice cup of coffee.
Internet first class, password from reception lasts 24 hours, but as I was staying longer they gave me enough to last my stay.
Fitness room a tad small and the running machine broke while i was there and was not repaired by the end of stay.
As for distance from town, not a problem as i had a car, and it is only a 20 min walk from a couple of shopping centers where they sold good fast food, and there was a mac D's for later at night.
