Stayed there for 4 nights during my business trip. I haven't used any of the facilities but can say the breakfast was perfect, the room was large and cosy. Estense is located near to the central street and 10min walk from station. Staff was very friendly and customer oriented.

The Hotel Estense is perfectly located to catch a bus to the Ferrari Museum as stated in the previous review. There is a huge market held twice a week( I think) which is right next to the Hotel.
Breakfast was very good and our meal in the restaurant attached to the hotel was first rate, we are still talking about the gnocchi!
Modena is a lovely town and not too touristy. We got there on a Sunday and walked down to the main Piazza where all the local families were spending a relaxing evening.

Me and my husband had been in Modena to go to Ferrari Museum. The idea was to be in a a hotel in Modena cause ir near the train station. This hotel has a a perfect location cause is 5 minutes far from train station (8 euros by taxi cab) and the bus station to go to maranello is just behind the hotel!!! There you can pick the bus to maranello (every 1 hour and its 20km far from the museum the bus stop just in front of it). The hotel staff is very kind and give all instructions. We paid 120 per 2 with breakfast included and its fair cause it was the best breakfast ever!!!The hotel is charm, clean and classic and the restaurant connected offer delicious food!
We totally recommend this hotel!!!!

Some rooms are very small but if you get one of the good rooms then this is one of the best places to stay.
