My friends and I chose this hostel as it was cheap but still in town. Being a hostel, all we required was a clean, safe bed to sleep in (and bathroom).
The location is quite hard to find - we searched on the street for an hour before finally locating it (and asking people around but being in Modena, not many people spoke English). The good thing was downtown was easily walkable and there was a bus stop on the main road, so transport to the train station/other parts wasn't a big problem.
The "private" toilet was actually in the common toilet, but it was a private compartment with a key (which was quite hilarious when i first saw it).
However there were bedbugs but other than that it was ok.
