I booked to go to europe and had to cancel due to a medical condition. Approximately 2 months before I was due to travel, I emailed all the hostels i had booked with and had no problems except with this hostel...my credit card was billed NZ$92.65.
I emailed them repeatedly to get them to reimburse me as I had cancelled months before the booking.
They are claiming they never received the cancellation email.
I emailed proof of the email as i had kept it, they are still claiming no knowledge and refuse to refund me. On top of that they are now just ignoring my emails.
Whatever happened to the customer is always right? They have the proof yet are still happy to rip me off.
Extremely unacceptable and dishonest of them - I definitely recommend people use a more honest hostel for accommodation.
