“5 years of Excellence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

2012 Marked at least the fifth straight year my colleague and I have stayed at this property during the Marca Bologna Trade Fair. The courtesy and service gets better each year, and it is quite a delight to be recognized and welcomed back.

The location, just outside the walled city, is close enough to be within walking distance from all the shops, sights and great food. This location makes it an ideal spot if you are driving and need secure parking.

An excellent wine bar, room service, breakfast room and restaurant mean if you arrive late and tired, you can stay in and chill out.

Oh, one last thing, it's a great value as well.

Room Tip: Face the town and mountains.

“Very pleased”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We had a great time at Aemilia hotel. The superior rooms were spacious and comfortable with a great view of Bologna towers; the city centre is merely 10-15' comfortable walk from the hotel. The breakfast was also above par and we would most definitely return. The only slight dissapointment was that the Jacuzzi in the room was not working.

“Very good hotel with fantastic service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We have just returned from a weekend stay in a city we like a lot. It was not our first visit to Bologna and having found this Hotel, I suspect our frequency to this city will be less spaced. Perfectly situated to reach the centre, the hotel offers all, one would expect from a 4 star city hotel, modern, clean and spacious room, large bathroom with shower (I tend to prefer a bathtub in my hotel room) together with a good breakfast in its well lighted restaurant. But the cherry on the cake of this hotel is the staff who made us feel pampered all through our stay. Thanks Federeico, Dino, and the others ( sorry I forgot the names- bad memory). It is a pity our weekend was only marred at the Stadio Dall'Ara where the Rossoblu should have taken the 3 points were it not for a couple of missed chances and later at the airport where our flight was delayed for 4 hours due to the fog, not an exceptional event in Bologna. We will be back to the Aemilia. Alla prossima!!

“Modern and large hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My family of four stayed here for 1 night knowing that it was a more upmarket hotel with all the mod cons rather than a small pension. Knowing it was not going to be cheap, we weren't disappointed. We had 2 large interconnecting rooms with beautiful bathrooms and large comfortable beds. The front desk were wonderful and the hotel was just outside the old city which only took 10-15mins to walk to. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was beautiful along with a wide variety for breakfast. We also got free parking which was attached to the hotel. We did have to get reception to open the connecting door which was closed and also ask twice to get an internet connection. Overall it was a beautiful hotel.

“Fantastic customer service !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

I've just returned from a tourist weekend in Bologna and I booked this thanks to the reviews on here and I was delighted that I did. The rooms were spacious and the beds super comfortable, I asked for more pillows, delivered happily by the time I got back to my room. Clean modern and basically exactly as it looks online. The shampoo and soap etc was replaced every day which was a nice touch, and you room was properly tidied even my clothes were folded and put away. Most amazing thing was the staff, they were all so smiley and friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was immaculately maintained, it closed at 10 but if people were eating they didn't put things away, they waited for you to finish, and they did it with grace, offereing to get you more of whatever you wanted. The reception staff gave me great advice about places to visit, marked them on a map and even rang to book me into wherever I chose and one of the restaurants was closing but stayed open to serve us, this city is the most customer focused place I've ever been. Even the man who served us 2 bottles of water was so delighted you'd think we'd brought him a winning lottery ticket. When I got back to the UK I realised I'd left a phone number I needed on a piece of paper in my room, I called the hotel and although it was long shot they went to the trouble of speaking to the cleaner who cleaned my room after I checked out, I didn't find the number but I greatly appreciated the efforts they went to on my behalf. If I could give this place 6 stars for service I would.

Room Tip: I looked at 3 rooms on different sides of the building, they were all immaculate, and spacious.
