Except for the party who wouldn't evacuate the rooms from the night before (until after 4 pm despite 11 am checkout!) it was perfect. It was as simple as arranging an all-inclusive wedding in Mexico, with the beauty of Italian hills, people, and of course the food! The rooms are pretty standard for what I've seen in Italy, but priced well, and in this location you really wouldn't choose to spend a lot of time indoors. The hotel took care of flowers, linen, 7 courses with wine pairings, a lovely bar afterwards, all with impeccable service once we were able to claim our rooms. We even had some turnover of the planning staff 2 days before the wedding and still they did an amazing job. I can't say enough about how wonderful they made our day.

We had trouble finding the way to the hotel at night. Our rental car's GPS device took us to the hotel from a route that is closed. Driving from a very narrow street, in pitch dark was not pleasant. We could see the lights of the hotel at the top of the mountain but couldn't reach there. Thank God on our way down to the main road we found a police car, and the lovely policemen took us to the hotel. Francesca welcomed us to the hotel with her angelic voice. The staff was very kind and helpful. Our room as well as the bathroom was very spacious and comfortable. I guess it will be a nice hotel to stay for weekend getaways.

I stayed here with a group of business colleagues while visiting our supplier Umberto Cesari wines.

We were so surprised when we arrived as it is off the beaten track. We could see it off in the distance like a solitary palace on a hill. After a short drive, we pulled into the estate and could not believe our good luck to be staying at this great hotel.

The rooms are large and elegantly furnished. The restaurant offers superb cuisine and excellent service.

I would love to return for a 3 or 4 day vacation stay, exploring the surrounding countryside by day and living in luxury at night.

It's way out in the middle of nowhere, a car is essential. Our room was massive and lovely, 4 poster bed. We arrived here late at night and it was quite hard to find but we were relieved when we did because it is lovely. A 14th century monastery if I remember correctly? Beautiful gardens which we woke up to the next day and it looks like it would be a fab wedding venue.

We only stayed one night whilst we were touring the area. As it is pretty isolated we ate in the hotel, the food was gorgeous. I was given a small stool specifically for my handbag, very posh! Also, my menu didn't have prices on it whilst my others halfs did. I thought this was a nice old fashioned romantic touch although you might be in danger of ordering the dearest thing on the menu without realising it!

All in all a lovely hotel, Didn't have much dealings with the staff so can't say much about them but they seemed ok. Gorgeous location and try and visit Dozza if you go, it's a lovely small town built on top of a hill.
