We have stayed in many 3 star European hotels but this was among the worst. The hotel is in an alley. It has a decent lobby but it is not an indicator of the rooms. The room was decorated in early Tom Jones 70's mirrors and plastic. Pipes were exposed from where leaks had occured. Bed was less than sanitary looking.
Although we only stayed there 1 night it was plenty. The weather was unseasonably warm and the room was hot and stuffy which warranted opening the windows. Unfortunately our window was near the kitchen of some restaurant. The kitchen people must have been having a dish tossing contest because I have never heard so much noise in my life. It continued until well after midnight. Lucky for us the alley was also a hangout for teenagers. We complained to the front desk and they assured us the kitchen noise would end by 11 and there was nothing they could do about the noisy teens.
So you say "Why didn't you turn on the air conditioning and shut the windows?" Wellllllll they don't turn the air on until JUNE!!!! regardless of the weather.
Needless to say we would not recommend this hotel to anyone we liked.
