Forget about going to this hotel by anything else but car (or taxi). The only reason to stay in this hotel if you are not attending a conference here, is because it is located close to Bologna Airport. Otherwise I really don't see a good reason to pick this, as it is very far from the city centre. Teh room was OK without being great, breakfast acceptable, but avoid dining in the restaurant because the quality is really poor.

Not bad at all for an American chain hotel in Europe. Clean rooms, good service, great breakfast (served starting at 4:30AM) , and a free early shuttle to the airport.
Fair prices. Recommended if you have an early flight to catch.

The Hotel is located not too far away from the Airport, however you will need a lift in order to get there. The rooms and the facilities are very good. Spacious room, complimentary bottle of water, spacious gymn and lots of conference rooms. The restaurant is also quite good (we are in Bologna after all).

However, I did not find the service to be at Sheraton level. I have been in Sheratons hotel in several places in the world and in Bologna I have found an average service when compared to the rest.

We slept there during a weekend break. Room was excellent, if not big. The small balcony looks over a hilly patch of trees with pasturing goats and all. The excellent windows insulate perfectly from the road and air traffic. Bathroom and shower are more than functional if a little cramped. Bed excellent, pillows like rock slabs, if you like that sort of thing.
Front desk lady not the brightest spot. She acts like she is dispensing food in a prison. Even tried to charge us €40 for early check-in, which would be oturageous even if we did not have a huge proven loyalty to Starwood hotels and also considering the place was virtually empty.
