Our family of 4 had two double rooms and paid extra for breakfast and to house the car but turned out to be great value and a really useful location. Very helpful service, a nice little fitness centre and very clean and stylish rooms. My only complaint was the thin walls and very noisy neighbor on the phone all the time. Would definitely recommend.

Of our entire 6 week stay in Italy in 14 different hotels, this is the one and only negative review that I am writing. This was by far the rudest group of hotel staff of our entire trip. They were unpleasant, condescending, unwilling to help and then talked unkindly about us in italian right in front of us. This was not just one person at the front desk, but 4 or 5 different people at the front desk. I could not get the wireless internet to work on my computer and was not only not helped to resolve it, but given attitude when I tried to get help. (The very next hotel where we stayed in Verona was extremely helpful and showed me that when given a code in order to use the internet, it may be necessary to go to the hotel web site in order to log in. This is pretty basic infomation, I believe.) We needed to convince them to help us book the Italian Days tour (which was fabulous and shouldn't be missed) and then only became interested in helping when it occurred to them to have us pay them for the trip in cash and they would pass along the fee.

The hotel is located in an undesirable part of town in a side street by a big vacant lot that looks like a place where a building was torn down. We stayed in the "remodeled" section of the hotel and the elevator was not yet installed. There was a sheet covering a big dirt hole where I assume the elevator will be eventually, though no one was working on it the entire 4 days we were there. The hallways were covered in a carpet that looked like filthy, stained astro turf. The rooms were also carpeted in filthy, stained carpeting. All of which would have been tolerable if the staff hadn't made for an extremely uncomfortable stay.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

My stay was not bad, the hotel is old but feels clean, and staff are nice. Breakfast is pretty good, hotel room are kind of small for american standards but good enough for me. Not complaints during my stay (business trip). My concern is with billing, as during the checkout I was informed that I was billed the wrong amount on my credit card when I pre-paid for the room. It has been two weeks since then and the mistake(?) has not been corrected. The hotel acknowledged their mistake initially but I received no refund up to now. The hotel has not responded to my last communication.
My rating is low for this hotel since I believe this mistake ( hopefully unintentional ) is important.
