Let's face it, the only thing to see in Urbino is the Palazzo Ducale, right across the street from this hotel; no one but a devoted Raphaelite would spend more than one night in Urbino, I should think. And, with the Palazzo on top of a steep hill, and the prospect of billions of cars trying to get up there in the summer season, this hotel is just the thing, because it has a gated, private parking lot for guests. The hotel building is a former convent, with cool stone halls and large rooms, furnished simply but in excellent taste. The breakfast buffet is extra, at 11 euros, but is worth it, being the full European hot-and-cold deal, so you can chow down on all that and probably skip lunch.
