We booked this hotel witout first checking the reviews and, when we did, wondered whether we'd made the wrong choice. We needn't have worried though as it was excellent. Our room was down one floor from reception and was neatly finished in exposed brick, well equiped and had a door leading to a private, sheltered terrace with table, chairs and sun recliners.. The glass walled bathroom was a bit quirky but has clearly been chosen to allow excellent facilities without decreasing the apparent size of the room.
Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfasts, although apparently fairly expensive, were pretty much in line with those that we found everywhere else in Italy - perfectly adequate and well presented.
The walk from the bus stop does involve a steep climb followed by an equvalent descent but, we didn't find this to be a problem - anyone who is not particularly fit or has a large amount of luggage would need to take a taxi to cover the fairly short distance.
All in all, we loved the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful town.
