I chose this hotel out of it's location near the airport. Still I was hoping for a nice Italian coastal town as I would have some extra time after work. Beach is not a long walk (5 minutes downhill), but is blocked from view from the town by the railway walls. Access under the ground in small, narrow and low-ceiling corridors. Clean and safe, though.

Beach is fine - no need to go to Senagallia or Pesaro.

Town doesn't offer much, but is only a 10 min drive from Ancona. Ancona is neither the eastern coast equivalent of Florence, but good enough for killing time.

The hotel belongs to the 1980's - a time period I believe the staff is still stuck in. Not all the receptionists speak communicative English (wtf??). TV has only Bloomberg as the only non-Italian speaking channel.
Internet is required through a phone cable you can collect at the reception.

There is no, or little, info about the facilities to be found in the room - only a printed A4 sheet saying something in Italian about the restaurant.

I would not recommend this hotel to a friend, as I would suggest they find another nearer town or in Pesaro.

I am on business trip, so my demands are not high, but I think I would be dissapointed if I came here on holiday.

Located midway between Falcona Maritima and Ancona. All trains stop in Ancona where you can catch a city bus B or C (buy tickets for E1.4 each at tobaconist before your board) to the horizontal location of the hotel (if the driver remembers to call out your stop). You'll then need to walk 4-steep blocks upward.

A summertime resort hotel, we stayed in the off season. Although there were plenty of empty rooms, we were placed initially on the second floor until I asked to be moved upward. Up top--well, see our photo of the view.

Ample breakfasts are served on the ground floor, and an independently-owned restaurant, known for its gourmet wines is located in the basement. We had good meals in both.

Arrived at 22.30 on 20/9. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the nightmare lay ahead. Having driven from Napoli, I was very tired and in bed by 23.00. Not realising the implications of being adjacent to the lift, I was awoken virtually straight away with a constant stream of guests. This kept going through the night with guests coming-and-going, shouting at the tops of voices and banging room doors. Having not slept for more than a few minutes at a time throughout the night, I went to reception in the morning to be faced by a female version of Basil Fawlty telling me it was not their fault as the hotel was busy, full AND I should have complained to the night porter when the doors were being banged (like I could see who the people were and what room was being opened/shut. The grumpy receptionist refused to even discuss a discount again citing the fact that it was my fault I and the fault of the other guests...and I paid €86 for the privilege! Do I recommend this hotel? Yes, I recommend that you stay as far away from this dump as humanly possible.

Stayed at this hotel before a trip to Croatia. It is a little far from downtown Ancona, and the streets are very busy. So, walking very far is out of the question. If you are traveling to Ancona by train, this hotel is actually closer to the smaller train station (Falconara- I think) and so you should avoid the central station. The hotel has nice views of the ocean. The restaurant was small but good with excellent service. Rooms were satisfactory, although the lack of a shower curtain resulted in many wet bathroom floors. It is a nice place to stay for a few days on vacation or business. The best thing about the hotel was the service- the hotel clerk was very helpful in helping us organize our stay. I would recommend it to anyone who does not need to be in central Ancona and just needs a nice, relaxing place to stay.
