“Excellent location, good price, simple but clean"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

We stayed at Hotel Termi for 3 nights, 2 once we arrived to Rome and 1 on our way back. The best thing about this hotel is its location. Less than 2 blocks from the main train terminal in Rome (this is the one you arrive from the Airport and leave to other cities from) which is also where the local subway is located. This subway takes you everywhere in the center of Rome including the Vatican, Spanish Steps, Fountain of Trevi, the Colosseum, etc. Of course you will always have to walk a little from the station to destination but riding the subway is an inexpensive way to get you really close. Also this terminal is in the middle between routs A and B of the subway. It is the best terminal if you ask me, so it would be good to stay near it.
Now about the rooms, as I said they are very simple but clean. We stayed in a double room 112, in winter time. The heater worked well and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. It has a hair dryer, shampoo, soap, and all those basic things. In general the bathroom is small but efficient. The reception spoke English, The price was very competitive for the location so I found this place to be a good option. I would stay here again if traveling in a budget. Ahh... breakfast is not included.

“Best price, worst room”

The hotel's location is really good - close to the Termini station, not far away from almost all of the sights of the city. We arrived in the hotel approx. at 10 a.m. and they didn't let us waiting 'till 2 p.m., so we took the room immediately. The staff at the Reception is really nice and polite.
When we made the reservation we were looking for a place just to sleep over, so we choosed this hotel. The room is horribly old, with all these old wardrobes, beds, toilet and so on. I'm sure that it's not been refurbished since 1960... The toilet was broken, the remote control of the TV wasn't working, the bathroom was dirty! Anyway the housekeeping ladies are doing their best during your stay... Just the smell in the room and in the toilet is awful.
I was unpleasantly surprised just of the noise! There were a lot of people running and screaming all day long and no one is telling them anything! At midnight someone is coming back in the room singing ... In the morning a group of people is leaving the hotel yelling... At 6 a.m. is really disgusting to wake you up in this way. At 8 a.m. the housekeeping ladies are starting to clean and they are talking each to other really loudly...
Anyway if you're planning to spend your holiday in Rome walking around the streets and doesn't care about the cleanness of the room, this is your place.

“Didn't expect much for €50 a night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2010

We booked this hotel for one night before going to florence. The room was adequate with an ensuite bathroom. Our room overlooked the tramway and was veru noisy even with the windows closed so we didn't get much sleep. Check in took ages since there was only one person at the reception and he seemed to be incharge of 4 other hotels (since the hotel is in a block with about 4 other hotels). However, for 50€ a night we didn't expect much better except for soundproof rooms maybe!
