“Good value -pleasant stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

As most reviewers have already said - a bit difficult to find first time. Our taxi driver who had been booked by the hotel for us from the airport found it difficult to locate, not helped by one way street system. Once you know where it is after first arrival there is no problem.
The "hotel" consists of 3 guest bedrooms, a small lounge/diner and kitchen on the 6th floor of an apartment block. We liked it and very much cheaper than city centre tourist hotels. The bedroom and balcony was fine and an excellent bathroom. Giuliana was all the staff that we were aware of and she was a very charming and helpful young lady who speaks a number of languages.
Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment and lacking in variety - but nice to eat on the balcony.
Once you got your bearings it was quite easy to travel in to the the centre by either bus or metro and we enjoyed living away from the crowds and the tourist traps. Night time was very quiet, which is important for us, although it was a little strange staying somewhere to find that neither staff or owners lived on the premises !! I am not sure what we would have done in an emergency !!
If we return to Rome I would be happy to stay there again and wish them well.

Dear guest, we are very pleased to read your review. The structure that we provide to our guests has been recently renovated, and as you said, is characterized by 3 very comfortable rooms, each with bathroom en-suite, a living room where guests can take advantage of any comfort (coffee pot, satellite flat screen TV, radio, tea corner, a large comfortable sofa bed) and each room have access on the balcony where our guests can seat and relax themselves. Our Breakfast is an italian breakfast and consists of tea, coffee, bread, hot and fresh croissants, jam, milk, butter, biscuits, honey, chocolate, orange juice, 3 types of cereals, and yogurt. If not sufficient, on request, we can also add eggs, cheese, ham and other typical products. We're happy you've enjoyed your stay and that you are intend to come back. Since it is a bed and breakfast, we do not have a reception open 24 hours, then in the apartment during the night there are only those customers who, in special cases of emergency, can call one of our reference numbers and quickly we reach you to give the help you need. We have one of our staff always available during the night, since he live only one block away from Orlando Innamorato!
Thank you for your review and see you soon in Rome next time.
Sincerely.

“Staying in an overpriced 3 bedrooms appartment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

Orlando Innamorato is a plain appartment with 3 bedrooms transformed to a B&B. There is no noise isolation since it's like sharing an appartment with more people. It is near the center, about 40 minute by local bus, but really overpriced. There was a lot of noise coming from the nearby street and the road works. I admit the bathroom was new and nice but our room was never cleaned or the towels were never changed during our 4 days stay over there! My suggestion, keep your money for a 3 or 4 star hotel, which charge the same really high price, and get a breakfast with some cheese and italian ham instead of just cereals, bread and jam..

Dear guest, thank you for the review and for the appreciation of our wonderful b&b, but we are at the same time, truly sorry for your disapproval. Our bed and breakfast is very convenient, comfortable and quiet, but due to the public works in the street during your stay may have encountered this problem that is not depended on us. We are at the 6th floor and it's very difficult to hear noise from the street. Also the work in the area close to our B & B lasted only until 5.00pm.
We clean and settle the room (towels included) every 2 days. I know it is impossible that your room remained under the same conditions for 4 days! If this really happened, it would be a very serious omission of the cleaning staff and we will as soon as possible to resolve the situation. We are sorry that our rich breakfast with tea, coffee, bread, hot croissants, jam, milk, butter, biscuits, honey, chocolate, orange juice was not that you like, but at the request of customers we can provide more local products first-quality alternative to a standard breakfast, but very rich.
Our opinion about the price. You say this is an overpriced room, but you paid 85 € per night for a large double room with balcony, included taxes. Checking our competitors we know this price is very competitive in the high season in Rome, because of the numerous services and quality we offer included in the price:

Rooms with terrace (attic)
• Italian breakfast included
• Private en-suite bathroom with hair dryer
• LCD TV in every room
• Air conditioning throughout the house
• WI-FI free
• A Metro stop: 50 meters
• Lift
• Information on urban transport and general orientation to the city of Rome

It is very difficult to think that you can find, at the same price, better structures than Orlando, with the metro station 50m away and the chance to reach the center of Rome in just 10 minutes without changing the line, or 20 minutes by bus.
Thanks for your review and your suggestions, we will do all our efforts to make our place better and better :-)

“Amazing place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

We stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon. Was in a non-touristy area which we loved! Baldus is an incredible restaurant right up the street. Eat there!!!! The room was a great size and modern. We loved the small patio area where we ate breakfast everyday. We love Maria! We were sad to go. We will be back!!!!

“Great location for travellers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2011

I stayed here while visiting Rome for 4 days.
The place is actually on your way to Termini if you take terravision from the airport. The location is pretty good BUT it's not easy to find the first time. Ensure that you make a RIGHT on the first right that you can find...there's no big sign or anything.
There are three rooms and a balcony. The room is decent size, with bathroom. The room I got has no window but a glass door to the balcony which is accessible by everyone...so to ensure privacy there's a metal door for you to close but that also means there's no sunlight coming in to the room...that's what I don't really like about the room. I didn't check out the other rooms (maybe they have windows??) .
The bathroom is clean and tidy; there's no toiletries so bring your own. However towels were provided and they do give you fresh ones every 2 days so that is a plus.
Breakfast was simple - cereals, pastries, coffee and juice. Breakfast was moved to the balcony one day and that was a nice surprise. There is a machine to make espresso and satellite TV so you can watch something in English if you need to.
It's handy to find that there's a supermarket 1 block away from the B&B...we bought dinner there one day after too many big meals and that was good.
Also - Free Wifi - tho they don't have password at all so it's not easy to use their wifi...they probably need to work on setting up a password to reserve it for guests only and not general public???/
If you are thinking of relaxing at the hotel then obviously picked something else; however we were mainly sightseeing so a good clean place was all we were looking for.

“Fantastic value, warm welcome, superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2011

Just back from a long weekend at Orlando Innamorato where we stayed in the Orlando room - the one with jacuzzi bath. We had a taxi from the airport ( €60 with tip ) - would have been cheaper on train/tube but we were pretty tired and just wanted to get there as easily as possible.
We arrived to a warm welcome and were shown to our room. Lots of advice was given to us about where to eat, how to get about, free map etc - what a great first impression. Even before we arrived we had received lots of friendly communication from Natasia and Alessandra.
The breakfast was served on our private area of the terrace and consisted of bread, french toast, yoghurt, cereal and croissants. Plenty of juice and coffee/tea. Great way to start the day. Metro was just a short walk away and we soon became quite confident in getting abouit to the tourist attractions. There is a great restaurant just a few minutes from the apartment - a family run restaurant/pizzeria Baldus. Great value and wonderful service. Food was excellent. - we ate there twice and it is always full of locals which is a good indication of it's popularity.
Rome is hard work especially if you are only there for a few days and want to get around as many of the sights as possible - so the jacuzzi was fantastic to soak away the aches and pains after lots of walking in the beautiful sunshine. It was so nice to come back to a homely base rather than a sterile hotel which would have cost far more than this fantastic B&B. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting this amazing city. There are so many nice touches -Complimentary tea and coffee available all day .flat screen tv's, free internet , air conditioning ,SPOTLESSLY clean and comfortable - our bed was so comfy.
Orlando Innamorato would be hard to improve - the ladies have things worked out perfectly. Two or three minor suggestions to make the B&B even better, would be to provide a full length mirror somewhere in the apartment - and also to have 2 proper cups in each room for the complimentay coffees rather than the plastic ones which can be tricky to carry when full of hot coffee. Finally, a small bin on the terrace would be useful.

These are minor details- we almost feel mean even mentioning them but they do not detract in any way from the fantastic experience we had during our stay.

Grazie tanto Natasia and Alessandra. We will be in touch after our wedding in Venice x
