Spent 3 nights here mid-November 2011. Excellent location, clean rooms, friendly owner BUT ... you can't actually enjoy the location as you can't see out the windows!!! Workers started at 07:30 a.m. which disturbed any idea of a lie-in so don't go for this place if you're after a relaxing, lazy holiday!!! Entry to the hotel looks quite nasty but once you're through the door into the actual hotel, it's lovely inside. Bathrooms were really small but clean, we had clean towels every day but could have done with a fresh supply of shower gel by day 3! Excellent base for exploring Rome if you're not going to spend your holiday in your hotel room!

Yes, the first impression was horrible - the dark dingy entrance - the many steps with suitcases, the nasty mop bucket in the entry way -- and of course the scaffolding up the front of the building, interferred with the view -- BUT -- PERFECT LOCATION! Also, the room was clean, and they offered to change towels everyday if we wanted them to. The bed -- not very comfortable with pillows like pancakes (Room 1) - but all in all - we were so happy with the rate and the location that it was all worth it!

We spent two nights in this place. Sure the piazza is hopping with activity but you cannot see out of the windows so why would you pay that kind of money? You open the front door of the building into a greasy dark dungeon with the working kitchen of the adjoining restaurant in the lobby! They do not supply shampoo and we didn't get a change of towels for the second night.
They told us that noisy work doesn't start until 8:30am....don't believe them - it started just after 7:30am.

Navona 71 is in the heart of Rome. All of Rome's attractions are at walking distance. All Rooms have a contemporary design with red accents. The bathroom is tiny... However, the location makes up for it. Piazza Navona is always bustling with activity.. Quite a sight!!. Great restaurants close by as well. Try out Insalata Ricca and Cul de Sac (recommendations from Raffaella of Navona 71).
