We stayed here for just one night before leaving Rome for the rest of our trip in Italy, after staying at the Hotel Lancelot near the Colosseum. I didn't mind the move, since it allowed us the chance to explore a different area of town a little better. Piazza Navona is so full of energy and vibrancy that I'm glad we got to stay right in the middle of the action. We also walked about 20 minutes at a slow pace to the Vatican.

The building renovations continue. The fabric drape includes a sign for Navona 71 right over the door, which is locked. Giovanni answered our bell and came down to meet us. The small foyer is really creepy and dark, but that's a minor point. The apartments are on the European first floor, and access is granted using the room key. A woman assisted us with our rooms and orientation; she speaks good English and was helpful in calling for dinner reservations. I didn't catch her name.

We stayed in room 6, which adjoins the common area with the Nespresso machine. It has a small window that opens into the atrium with the elevator. We were not disturbed too much by other guests in the common room, and actually heard more racket coming from the kitchen that serviced the restaurant below. Our friends stayed in room 2, which faces the piazza but may as well have been an interior room, since it got absolutely no light. That room is slightly larger than room 6. Believe the reports about the shower; it is absolutely miniscule, but the room is spotless and comfortable.

I would stay here again, in an interior room again, because its location is so ideal.

I was very excited about our final night in Italy and staying in this highly recommended B&B. I use TA for everything and had read just about every Rome hotel & B&B review, studied maps, asked questions and decided this was perfect for us. What a huge disappointment. We were 4 women staying in two rooms. I knew about the entry and stairs so no big deal. There were very kind cooks from the kitchen on the first floor who carried our heavy bags up the long staircase. But at the top of the stairs was a woman glaring at me while I watched over the bags as they were each brought up. I thought she was a guest angry that we were clogging the narrow door & stairwell. Turned out she was one of the hosts. I was floored at how unwelcoming and unhelpful she was. One week before our departure for Italy we received an email telling us about the scaffolding and offering a discount. At that point it was too late to make a move and decided it was no big deal. We had two different type rooms reserved. The scaffolding has a drapery on the outside to shield outside onlookers from seeing the unsightly scaffolding. So the room that should have had the view could barely even get daylight in because the window was completely blocked. The standard inside room was small, dark and claustrophobic. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The shower heads in both rooms were broken. We had nothing in our bathroom except two - partially used - shower gels. Sorry, that's nasty. To top it off, the other host tried to charge us the full price. Only because we objected did she suddenly remember our discount. I will say it was very clean and an awesome location but sadly for us, this was not a good experience and I would not recommend it to a friend.

Entry way is unappealing and you have to walk up two flights (not a problem for us) but once you enter, you're in a cool, modern place. We liked our room - clean, decent size and very comfortable bed. Great soundproofing. There was scaffolding covering the windows. You might want to check on that if you are going soon and paid for a room with a view.

Good expresso maker (Nespresso) and it was free for guests. Breakfast was a roll and coffee in the cafe right outside the front door. It was good enough for us, and we enjoyed sitting there watching the vendors set up for their day while the Piazza was still quiet.

My only complaint was the bathroom. Although clean, it was very cramped. The shower was the smallest I found in my travels around Italy. Someone large might not fit.

Despite the bathroom issue I would still recommend for it's great location.

This hotel has the most stunning in-city location imaginable, overlooking the Piazza Navona, in the heart of Rome. We stayed there four nights. The hotel was comfortable, clean and quiet, especially considering that our window opened directly onto the Piazza. The room itself was on the small side for a hotel room, but had everything we needed. The bathroom, although well-appointed, was very snug. Everything looked like it had been recently renovated and the cappuccino machine in the common space worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Altogether a great place to stay in Rome.
