the ivanhoe hostel should be shut down by health inspection and his owner arrested. I have severe allergy all over my body caused by the bed bugs. another guy sleeping next to me had horrific rash for the same reason. staff do not give receipts for anything whatsoever. I've been charged 2 euros for city tax per day and never got any fiscal slip. at 11 am you're required to leave the hostel cause they are cleaning and spraying against bugs. in my room there were 6 beds and only 3 locker boxes. 3rd room on the left side where I stayed was dark, had improvised dirty and barely functional bathroom on the balcony with shower 50x50. yes, breakfast is good, and it's funny but if I need to spend e 50 for allergy treatment and feel miserable for 10 days then I'd say NEVER AGAIN!

Dirty and noisy, six or more beds in tiny rooms, only three showers for more than 30 beds ... do you need more? the dorms have no keys, there are not enough lockers, some people reported have been bitten by bed´s bugs. Additionally, the hostel´s staff was sleeping in one of the dorms and the most noise guy there was the manager, a well-grown up guy who wanted to be the "soul of the party".
Please avoid this place.

Ivanhoe Hostel Rome was infested with bed bugs.

Woke up with blood spots all over our sheets.

In the following days we found several engorged adult bed bugs within our belongings.

Be warned of a very real bed bug infestation.

Staff however is friendly enough, free spaghetti dinner followed by invite to party in the city, free wifi and computers in commons.

Don't stay here!
