“Casas Serafina works for Termini location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Casa Serafina works well for a clean, comfortable room, with a good bathroom near Termini. It's only a short walk for an early-morning train. Valaria and Serafina greeted us, and Valaria speaks enough English for travelers to get by. She gave us a good restaurant recommendation down the street, and she offered to put our breakfast in a to-go bag for the next morning, which was appreciated. For pastry connoisseurs, be aware that the pastries were packaged. Also, be aware that there is no one on duty at night as far as I could tell, so this place is probably better for the independent-minded traveler. Our room faced an alley, so traffic noise was no problem.

“Clean, comfortable room - breakfast not to our taste - noisy traffic.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2011

The owner and her daughter made us welcome. As others have mentioned they have made no effort to learn any English so we made sure that we learned enough Italian to get by. The large bedroom was great by continental standards and the shower room just what you would expect. If you are happy with excellent coffee, some strange confections and a pot of yoghurt for brekfast you won't be disappointed. At €90 per night it was reasonable value compared to other places we checked out. Unfortunately, although the traffic noise subsided around midnight, every one of our four nights was disturbed by a car alarm which on two occasions went on all night. We cannot blame Casa Serafina for this but be aware of the potential problem. Four restaurants close by provide adequate food at reasonable prices.

“Convenient for train and airport”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 March 2011

Very good position for Rome Termini station and the airport shuttle train. On the third floor of an apartment block serviced by a tiny lift but very secure, clean and welcoming. Owners have little or no English so be prepared to mime and mug if you have as little Italian as myself. Linguistic confusion led to us having coffee in the kitchen with our breakfast orange juice and rolls in a take-away paper sack - suited us nicely for the journey and wait at the airport. Beware Cards not accepted. Big thumbs up in passing to everyone at Trenitalia - staff and trains terrific - but will someone explain the seat numbering?.

“Great B&B!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2009

This B&B is located very close to Termini. Just 5 minutes walk.
The room was nice and clean and there was even a fridge. The bed was VERY good!

The lady running the B&B was very friendly and helpful.

I definitely recommend this B&B!

“Avoid”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2008

A word of warning: I booked via Venere for 2 nights in this coming March 08 and was quoted a certain price.
The following day I received a telephone call plus an email from this establishment advising me the price was incorrect and asking for more money.
Venere.com emailed me to say the booking and its price would stand as good but I decided to cancel.
Would you want to arrive in Rome near Easter with luggage and family and run the risk of being turned away ? Also : be sure funds for a deposit are taken from your credit card when you book if you want a better assurance that a contract is made b/w the two parties.

I was not surprised there is only one review of this B&B , but I am also disappointed by the fact that it being the only review and it being positive , it had given this B&B a high satisfaction rating...
