“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

This hotel represents good value for Rome. The rooms are clean and quiet and the breakfast is good. The staff is friendly and speak good English. One of our party had a medical event during our stay and the staff was very helpful. There are numerous restaurants in the area. This is obviously close to the train station and the Termini area has an undeserved reputation. The area is much nicer than many years ago. We all felt safe even late at night. The convenience of the proximity to the train station is balanced by being farther away from the main sights.

“Good place to stay”

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was fantastic - one of the best hotel breakfasts I have enjoyed. There are lots of channels on the tv and the staff were friendly and always polite. The location is convenient for the main station, but quite a distance from the main tourist areas and this part of the city does have too many immigrants from north Africa, who were hanging around the streets and whistling and hassling people, and not enough local Italians. I would stay again for the hotel was excellent.

“Excellent.”

The moment we arrived, we saw how lovely and modern the hotel looked. We checked in and the receptionist showed us to the room and helped us with the luggage. He then showed where everything is in the room. We stayed for 4 nights and The hotel was PERFECT. The rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds and a large ensuite bathroom. 2 large bath towels, 2 head towels, 2 hand towels and 2 flannels are provided every day along with Showergel & shampoo. The room and bathroom are kept clean as a cleaner comes everyday. There is actually nothing you can pick fault with about the rooms. There is a road outside which the first night was a little noisy untill we realised that there were shuttered outside the double glazed windows. So once we closed them along with the window, it blocked out all noise and all the light. The hotel staff are very friendly and will go out there way to help you. We went out for a meal every night and asked the receptionist where they recommend. Every night they recommended a place and gave us a map to help us find it. The hotel has there own resturant which is 2 minute walk down the road. If you tell them youre staying at crosti, they give you 10% off the food bill. The food and atmosphere was lovely. So when you get to the Hotel, ASK about there resturant. The Hotel also has a continental breakfast with a selection of breads, cereals, pastries, fruits, meats, cheeses, etc. It was lovely. The hotel is situated a couple of minutes walk from a large supermarket and a 5 minute walk to the local Metro and the Termini station. We decided to walk to the centre everyday which took about 20 minutes. its definitely worth walking as you see alot more of Rome. We were sad to leave and we recommend this hotel to other people.

Room Tip: We faced the main road, but with the shutters closed and the double glazed windows closed we had no...

“Good hotel, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

We arrived at the hotel before check in but they were more than happy to hold our luggage for us until then so that we could go and wander around straight away. Shown to room which was above the breakfast room, and I must warn that this could be loud, I'm a good sleeper and I heard it, so recommend taking earplugs if you think this might bother you.

Room good size, basic but clean, was always out anyway. Didn't have any issues with the bed really, was so tired from walking around all day it didn't matter too much. Tv with cable but mostly italian, no coffee/tea making facilities but fridge so we bought bottles of coke and kept them in there. One thing we realised - very expensive to buy small bottles when out and about, so got ours from super market which is near buy or bought local drinks such as cappucino when out as they are cheap!

Breakfast was nice with good continental selection, meats, cheeses, pastries, youghurts, fruit etc. And staff made the coffee of your choice for you in the morning.

Some say that the area is dodgy, I didn't think it was. Never felt in danger when walking around, although there was one time when we got off at termini station at night and walked back when there were some people hanging around which was a little intimidating (although they didn't bother us), but we got off at castro pratorio most other times which is nearer to the hotel, and is one stop from termini, so we just changed as the metro is very easy to use and you can travel for 70 mins on 1 euro.

The hotel was in a good location for us personally, as it was a little bit out of the way, but still close enough to everything. It didn't take very long to get anywhere at all. And maybe made it a bit more of a novelty when we did go out, as opposed to walking out of a hotel directly in front of the trevi fountain for example. Although some people may prefer somewhere closer and more convenient so bare that in mind.

We would stay here again upon returning to Rome which we hope to do at some point, staff were nice rooms were adequate, location just fine for us.

Also, the hotel runs a restaurant down the same street, that do great seafood dishes (recommend the seabass!) cant think of the name but ask at reception.

Also, recommend staying for a minimum of 3 night, we stayed for 2 but had 3 whole days and didn't quite feel it was enough. Have a great time!
